Exactly.

I have several heavier but none of them are arm-carry type bags. Maybe I just need buff up my arms!

Oh NO! now I am picturing a green pixie carrying two fully loaded satchels and doing arm curls all day.

I'm carrying my black samantha for the first time today. I can't describe how nice the black leather is! LP's got the BEST leather! I like LP handbags for the fact that the leathers never deform. I brought this bag back from my trip to the US, and among the 16 handbags of various different US designers, this one was the only one I brought back without stuffing, and it arrived perfectly without any creases.

If I can change 1 thing about this bag, I would lengthen the handles to be able to carry it on the shoulder. This is a truly heavy bag, more so after putting my stuffs in!

By the way, I got this bag for around $179 directly from LP during a big sale, but the leather and the workmanship wins over RM and Treesje, seriously!

I snagged the Dijon Samantha from kataphileo today after leering at it for months!

Thanks for all your pics and reviews here -- definitely helped me make up my mind! I'll let you know when she arrives!

hi everyone! i got my LP Samantha in Dijon this AM from kataphileo. shipping was very quick and the bag was very nicely packaged.

i'm a little disappointed upon first impression however, though i think i need stormyheart's advice before jumping to conclusions.

i'll need to take pics of this to really show you all...

1.the leather wrapped studs are in general much darker than the rest of the bag, i think just from wear. it doesn't look dirty per se, just a darkening. is ths normal for you samantha owners? i'm betting this bag was hanging out at kataphileo for a long time.

2. one side has what look to be scratches. not sure if they can be massaged out.

3. the bottom has 5-6 small darker spots. the size of a q-tip point or so, slightly bigger than a pen point. there are some similar spots on the underside of one of the straps.

the spots and the scratches may just be natural leather variation. none of it is a deal-breaker for me unless i knew it wasn't supposed to be like this... i kind of wonder if this is just how the dijon leather is - a little rough and tumble?

i'll try to get pics this weekend to show you all... but in the meantime any advice is welcome!
