Theyre back in stock at LP -- what a twisted addiction, I am in the middle of doing real work, and for some reason, I'm drawn to my browser, and I have to check the LP site to see if, perhaps, something new is available....or on sale. Sick sick sick!!!

I was really really attracted to Dijon at first, but after careful consideration, I chose the black one because the straps on this bag seem not long enough to be worn comfortably over the shoulder, it's more of a handheld bag. Since I don't like bags with dirty handles, and I know the Dijon color will eventually turn dirty, therefore I decided to order the black one instead. And hey! It's with silver hardware, which is cool.

I LOVE Dijon ! Its a gorgeous warm Buckskin, with a lot of color variation so it's very easy to take care of. I really like the satchel best in Dijon and Red, but all of the clutches are beautiful. (and carry almost as much as a small speedy!)
Samantha bags are unique, IMEO, because each color has such a different vibe, much more than other styles seem to... Partly due to the extreme color saturation, but also due to how the hardware contrasts or blends in, giving each a totally different attitude.

I am using my black Samantha for the first time today. I LOVE THIS BAG. Amazing leather, perfect size. It's definitely heavy compared to my other LPs but it's still lighter than most of my Kooba bags I think. I love it!!!

I loved the Samantha and I missed out on it when it was on the LP website. Anyone seen it for sale lately anywhere else?

Yes. I've seen it at BlueFly and Piperlime recently :) BlueFly has dijon for $321. Piperlime has the dark brown which I LOVEEEEEEEE but it's more pricey at $419. I love this back. I was obsessed with it and couldn't stop lusting. I got the black from the LP site a couple of months ago when they re-listed a couple of them. Gorgeous bag, amazing leather.

Kataphilieo has the Dijon for $357, sign up for member and get additional 3% off. I also got my black one from LP with the luckybread code with 35% off a while back, this has been the best deal in my handbag buying experience.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I can't really spend that much at the moment. I'm really kicking myself for not getting it when I had the chance with the luckybreaks code, it would have been around $150.

I finally got my Samantha, it's a lovely bag, especially with the silver hardware. I do have 2 complaints about this bag:

1. It's quite heavy, and I believe it's due to the studs.
2. The handles do not fit comfortably over the shoulder unless you're really skinny.

Other than the above, I like this bag very much, the leather is so soft and durable!

^^^

That has been my experience with Sammy as well - I love her to bits but she can get heavy since the straps are short - my arm gets tired and I have to swap after a couple days of using her. I have heavier bags, but they are shoulder-carryable so I can carry them longer. LOVE that leather though!

Yep, it's heavy, but the leather and the stud details make its worth! I said it's heavy because it's heavier than my other bags, really!

And also I think what greenpixie said is true - not having the shoudler straps makes it seem heavier too. I can barely get it on my shoulder but it's not real comfy there so I usually carry her on my arm like a satchel/tote bag (rather than as a shoulder bag). Love her though!
