You just can't seem to pack, part, sell a bag? Do you still try to just "make it work" for you in the meantime? Or do you just pack it away in your closet for a while? If it only had a suitable shoulder strap.... then I think I wouldn't have a problem keeping it!!! The bag in question (and the endless debate I've had) my Love Capri in Stone. I keep thinking- this is becoming a rare bag. It has all the original lambgoodness that we are all used to...... yet I use it the least..... sigh....... what am I to do?

Sometimes to want is better than to have. I have found myself lusting over something and, once I have it, kinda don't feel the intense love I thought I might.
I refuse to sell any more bags because what I think they are worth/what I want for them is not what others think they are worth/want to pay. You could either sell it for dirt cheap and still have to save, or you can keep saving a little each week and get your dream bag later. They will *always* be floating around so there's no risk in holding off. Besides, something even better may catch your eye in the meantime. It's a cycle of want! |

^^True, you have a point.
But what do I do with it in the meantime? I hate to have her just sitting there all lonely. She's so pretty...... like I said..... if only I could find a way to make her functional to me, I'd keep her. She is becoming a rarity and, to me, that's worth a lot. |

When I get a bag, especially one that I have wanted for a really long time, I tend to want to keep it safe in my closet in its dust bag, rather than use it. What if it gets dirty or scratched or something? LOL...I know they are just bags, but I can't help but want to conserve them in a perfect or decent state.

I've sold bags because I went through a period where it didn't suit me and now I would love to have them back again. |

I'm quite the opposite- I want to sport my new addition immediately, but of course, with care. |

Don't get rid of her!! You will regret it. I'm a big fan of the strap because it does make life a lot easier but there are going to be times that you are going to rock a purse that doesn't have a strap.
I have a purse that is the same way. It's a hopewell and I hate to admit that I've had it for over a year but I've never used her. I love her and know that when I go back to work full time or have a special event, I'll be using her then but for now, with two kids under 5, she is not very practical. |

^^Thanks for your honesty.
I decided to take pics of her w/ the questionable/possibe strap. HONEST opinions- does it look fine? Clash? Look like poop? or Absolutely rock it w/ that strap! With flash ![]() No flash ![]() Mod shot

The Love Capris (especially the originals w/ the velvet trim) are one of my faves! You should definitely keep it! To be honest, it looks more classy and beautiful in your mod shot than it just sitting by itself -- and that's not me kissing ass because I can be quite critical.
![]() If your only reason for not using it as much is because of the lack of shoulder strap, you should keep it! Because 1a) it is a gorgeous satchel 1b) the way things have been looking with recent LAMB, you know the quality is not going to be as high as that Capri 2) you have your DIY strap that will still get you to rock this bag! But if it's just a matter of you not liking the style, design, or color... then it might be better to let her go for something you will love much more (and actually use, of course). But I say keep it... it will only get rarer and rarer, and with you being a die-hard lambie, the bag will stay in good condition that people may be willing to pay more for it later than they are now. |

Like csalt said, keep the love capri - it is a classic and well-made.
I am not loving the strap because it looks utility and the bag looks lux - the two clash a bit, IMHO. |

I'm afraid that the strap may strain the hardware on the purse especially if you carry a lot of stuff.

I'm not digging the stap either legs, I think the color clashes and as C-girl said the styles are clashing too. Maybe a strap in the same off-white tone would work better? Why don't you try trading her for one on your wish list (same as you did for your saddle mandy). That way you have a bag you've been lusting over and you know your LAMB capri is going to a good home :)
