Personally I dont like the strap sorry. I do see your point of having the strap. Most of my lamb bags are handhelds and I noticed my elbow hurts at the endof the day from carrying it...lol but I do like the hand-held look..lol
I say keep it! and find a better strap to match it.

I've been thinking this over and over- staring at the pics, and I just can't bring myself to keep that strap on there. I can deal fine w/ my J Kerry bag as a handheld b/c she isn't really heavy, but the Capri is heavier to me, that's why it bugs me. I've just NEVER been this torn about a L.A.M.B. of mine before. Seriously!!
K- I'd trade if that option was given- I agree w/ that. |

^^ Maybe post it on livejournal and list what you'd like to trade for :) That way if it's meant to be, it will happen!

I really like the look of your love capri but then again, I a big fan of hand held bags. I don't really like shoulder bags. If your biggest concern is that the capri is hand held - you should sell it. IMO, even if you get an off white strap it'll look awkward with the strap hanging on the bag like that. You might want to sell/trade your capri to get an oxford because at least the straps are adjustable to be worn on the shoulder.

Nay on the strap... She's a Capri - she wants to be held.
![]() What's the main reason why you don't use her often? I loveee satchels but I keep telling myself that my next bag needs to be something that goes over my shoulder. |

She seems rather heavy on my arm. I really don't carry too much. I just can't believe how torn, literally, I am. I have the trade option open..... but that's really it.

Update:
Sigh...... after much debate w/ myself and no "luck"- Capri is staying w/ me. I don't know though if I will actually use her, though, and that's the sad part. Heaviness, kwim? I am going to try and clean the areas that need it. Then put her back into storage again, I guess. Still, I can't really help it but I remain somewhat torn over the future of this bag for me. Part of me still wants to part with her, part of me doesn't. In the past, I've NEVER been this undecisive about a L.A.M.B.!! Is her rareity and "old-school" goodness the only reasons to keep her? If she just stays in my closet? If I don't think about this; then I don't debate, but the moment the gears start going about her; then I start second-guessing myself!

keep the purse loose the strap. I do recommend going to your local leather/shoe repair shop and having a leather strap made for it. It'll be a better match than the one your using now. IMHO.

Hasn't anyone else had such a "stay or go" dilema??? Where you just can't seem to make up your mind? Ugh!

Absolutely.
I usually take out the bags from the closet and leave them under my desk for a good week or so. If I don't "miss" them, plan to use them, then they need to go. Is it hard? yes, at times, but you have to let things that are not used, not working for you, or you're just not in love with anymore go. and don't look back. |

I deal with this every so often with my BE Exeter but then I do a "test" carry and it is love all over again. I say keep the bag, but I don't really like the strap on it.
There's a seller on eBay that sells chain and leather straps. I have purchased a chain strap for my RM and several other ladies in the RM SF have purchased both chain and leather versions. Perhaps you could contact the seller and see if you could have a strap made if they have nothing readily available? They have very decent prices imo. The seller's name is silver-coach. |

Thanks Yvonne and Knas
It's yet another day and I'm still debating over the issue....... though I haven't done a "test" carry w/ it lately. I'm currently hooked onto my Jacquard Kerry (gosh, I love that bag!) and also debating on possible non-L.A.M.B. that could go, but w/ the way it's so risky for items to sell these days..... the fees.....ugh! I can't afford them either unless it's a Guaranteed sale that would result. Even if I would sell non-L.A.M.B. the $ wouldn't even get me close to landing a Henna Bihar. I'm soooooooooooo torn! |

I have no other choice really........ Capri is going to have to go, I can't come up w/ any other reasonable solution. "Looks and rarity" are not good enough reasons for a keeper. Function and usage are.

It is a smart idea to make back the $$ for a Bihar or Hawke that you've been wanting and like more. After seeing how you've been going back and forth and questioning the Capri, it became clear to me that you're not in love with it so I was going to recommend selling it after all (but it seems you've made that decision already on your own)! I am hoping that sale happens for you! *fingers crossed* It'll be exciting when you show us your next new bag.
(No rush though!)
