Shadow is finally on SALE!!!

should I keep my shadow mandeville and get a marley hill? hmm..see I already have 3 mandevilles and I still want more(like the cheetah,silver), I don't wear a lot of colors that go with the shadow print and the mandeville is kind of big on me so it's even harder for me to match. the marley seems more the right size for me..less light color..but I want to keep both although it isn't really in my budget I mean I could struggle to keep both. I love the shadow! it just doesn't love my wardrobe..hmm. what should I do?

i don't know if you're in the short hills, nj area much but the SA named Joanne there is very nice. I was returning the Oxford and was telling her how I will probably regret it later and that I had a shadow Rowington coming to me,don't need both, etc.. She then checked the price and was like, you can rebuy it if you like...take it home, decide and return it later..super nice!!!

i'd say give it a try ! $200+ off is a good deal !

btw- i ended up keeping my Silver Oxford too ..I AM SO BAD !

Get the marley hill...it's a great bag and size ! i didn't think i would like it b/c it's sorta boxy..but I used mine yesterday and it's the perfect size and plus for me b/c it goes over the shoulder !

Hm. my closest mall (when i'm in jersey) is in freehold... i'd have to go there if anywhere.. i'll be there next week. shadow oxford might make its way back to freehold... i'm not so sure i'd even want it after the price adjustment.. I dunno. :(

Yay! I'm taking my Montego in this week for an adjustment. Do you know that the last time I was there, they told the lady ahead of me they couldn't do the adjustment and she just walked away. So then I come up there and they said 'no we can't do that' and I said 'okay I want to return this', so they returned it. Then I said 'oh I changed my mind, I wanna buy it again'. So I repurchased it for the sale price. I don't understand why some of the sa's are such a pita. LOL

You know i guess it just all depends on what kind of sa you have the pleasure in dealing with. I plan on doing the same thing tomorrow as you miss n. My motego (shadow) was purchased technically 3 weeks ago and the sa i talked to on the phone today said 'just bring it in and i will ask my manager', but i know there is the chance of a big fat NO so, i am ready to return and repurchase if need be.

I even told her on the phone 'i spend to much money to be told i cant price adjust something. I've done it before with 3 months in between'. Why can't they just say 'ok, no prob', with a freakin smile!

It really does depend on who you get. Some do it with no questions asked. Some give you lip. LOL I actually always carefully remove my tags so that the little plastic tag holder is in one piece, just so I can stick the tags back on there and show them that the bag doesn't look like it's been used, in order to get a price adjustment.
I know that probably sounds terrible, but I've never used my powers for evil, only good. Promise.

Did any of the SA's ever say they couldn't resell to you b/c it had to be back on the selling floor for 24 hours? I know some stores do that just so you can't rebuy right after at the sale price.

they act like its their damn money,,thats what kills me about some SA'a...like is your check gonna be and more or less because of this?

I've been told this at Off 5th - they won't let you return something and rebuy it with the coupon or at a lower price. When this happens, I just have a "friend" call and ask if they have that bag (duh, of course they do), and then put it on hold. It gets put in the back for the rest of the day, and i'm there first thing in the morning to pick it up again at the discounted price.

I've NEVER had this happen at Nordies - but they've also always given me the adjustment when I ask.
