Question for those who have an Exeter satchel...

Does yours fall backwards when you sit it down? Just got mine and it has a tendency to lean back and fall. At first I thought it has something to do with what was in the pockets or the zip pocket. No. It does it regardless. I love this bag but this is annoying.

LOL My Saddle did that for a while until I started 'forming' it. Just make sure to kinda squish it down on the side that it's falling. It should start to even out after a while.

Hmm, that's very interesting. I have two Exeters and neither of them have ever done that.

My exeter needed shaping too. I took some tissue paper stuffing that you get when you buy it at the store and filled it up. I formed it and let it sit for a while, like a couple of days, until it got back into perfect form. Sometimes it still needs a little extra squishing depending how much you put in it.

Hmm...my exeter also does not tip over

. It sits alone completely balanced. Maybe you should try to stuff it with some tissue paper and form it in order to get it to shape right and sit balanced. You can also try to put a few things inside and settle the weight on the opposite side that it's tipping to get it to shape itself.

I am happy to report that she is doing much better and standing on her own now. Maybe she got a little squished in shipping to me.

I absolutely love this handbag. I think I have found my favorite LAMB style.

Hmm, Me too! I have 2 exeters as well and mine balance well also.

Yes it was strange. The back side was caving in toward the bottom and the whole purse would just slump over backwards and fall. I got it from Nordstrom's by mail so it is a brand new bag. It was stuffed nicely with tissue. I don't know why it happened. I've been shaping it as it sits and it's standing tall today. The only thing I can think of is maybe it was packed in a way that compromised the structure of the bottom of the bag. I didn't pay attention to how it was laying in the box when it arrived. All is well now.

Oh it probably was stuffed to one side when it was shipped, I'm soooo happy to here your bag is well now.
