you say you don't want to chat on it anymore, so be it. but if a grown man with a family is not working and no effort to work for a year, that is a big problem.

![]() Are you going to be at that show? I wanted to go to more but I bought a ticket for my friend and am taking her. That was as much as I could afford at the time but I am ok with that. I spent much of my late teens and into much of my 20's going to concerts and one show is usually enough for me. Health stuff... I don't want to be a drag on here so PM me and I will let you in on it. I believe you have a medical background so you would have some understanding.Off to bed... G'night y'all! |

okay just got caught up with the last few days of posts! Had a great time in Texas - we're considering purchasing land and later building a home for vacations and retirement. It's so peaceful and beautiful there! We had pretty good weather too - it rained twice so it cooled everything down.
The 4th was awesome!! Besides the two fireworks shows, the family had SO many fireworks at home it was an arsenal! Seriously - more and better than the formal show! Had a long drive home - 16 hrs. That was the only bad part. Okay - now I'm going to sound like my mother and give a bit of a lecture: Legs: I'm going to chime in and say a few things you may not like or agree with. 1. I totally agree with CeruleanGirl and you should have listed your bag if you could not fulfill your end by shipping. It's only fair - every person here complains about slow shipping, and lack of seller performance and it's hypocritical to act like that as well. If paypal has a hold that's not your buyers problem. You still should be prepared to ship as soon as paid for. 2. You should not be thinking about getting a new LAMB right now. I've said thisto you before in private. You have other issues you need to work out and getting a new bag is not one of them. It is "just a bag". 3. Your hubby sounds abusive and you will take as much as you wish. Right now that seems like a lot. YOU are in control of your actions and choices, and if you choose to not be happy, then that is a choice. There are always options - maybe not easy or popular ones, but they are there. If hubby refuses to be self-sufficient, support your family, and heal himself (while making others miserable), then only you can do that. Stay / Leave - that's up to you. But you make the choice to let others annoy you and destroy your happiness. I'm sorry you're going through a rough time, but you need to take care of yourself. Emotionally, Financially, Spiritually.

i actually got screwed on shipping today. i sold my tie dye springvale and it was just so large, i didn't want it to crush, i packed it in a huge box, and turned out to be a surcharge and was $33 to ship with priority and insurance. i only charged $10.50 to ship. i took the loss, as i want the buyer to get the bag in mint condition and quickly, but i really need to get a scale and start being more accurate with my shipping.
i'm just glad my items are selling. a little less than i want them to sell for, but i wanted to clear out my closet and also a little extra cash to get some new stuff. i'm going to the pre-sale at Nordies tomorrow. so hopefully i'll see something nice. what has everyone else pre-saled?? |

yeah shipping can be ridiculous!! I always say if it is a larger bag it will cost at least 20 to ship, one time they tried to charge me 38 dollars but found a different box it would fit into and it was like 18 after that.

Oh man... I hate when that happens on shipping. I've taken a loss several times. Not the buyer's fault though! Like you said, I want them to get their item as promised and have it in good condition.

the thing is, if you list $20 as shipping fee on ebay, you get dinged on your stars, and/or reported for excessive shipping. what do people think the post office charges?
oh well. $20 loss isn't bad. i've gotten plenty of free shipping deals, it's ok to lose out once in a while. |

alliemia: Good luck on finding tons of stuff! legsie: I have to agree with alliemia and yvonne - if your husband is choosing not to work to support his family, then there is some major issues going on with him that has nothing to do with you. However you can't support him forever (you sound like you're burned out already from doing just that - so imagine another 5 years of supporting a leech). It's okay if he's trying to find work but he's not. He basically left the decision making up to you - so you need to decide what you're getting out of the relationship. It's tough not to have miscellaneous money to buy LAMB bags (or other things) but once you get your finances in order, there will always be other bags (I know it's hard but you just have to keep telling yourself that)...Remember to take care of yourself first (financially and emotionally). |

It's ONLY because my Birthday is coming. Geeze. My bills are paid. And I'm sure there are plenty of others that really have no business buying, but still do. I'm only human, going through hell, trying to complete school, but I only live once.

legsie...maybe so, but no one else is here routinely complaining about their bills, etc. so it's only natural we'd have these comments seeing as how you are constantly talking about being strapped for cash, no one in your household is working, etc. i can't imagine anyone encouraging someone to pursue new handbags when the person is complaining they can't even pay the shipping fee on an ebay sale.
i don't think anyone was being malicious, we were trying to help you. i'll keep quiet about it from now on, as you don't seem to want our opinions. |
