I've been staying out of chat so that I don't get even more addicted to TPF & spend time in my real world. But Merry Xmas everybody.

Will today get any better??? Lambies it's been a horrible day for me on a personal level so far. Puts me in such a slump! The other half of mine is honestly what started it and it started last night. I need invisible earplugs I swear! He did leave the house now for a while. I swear his complaining, whining, and senseless bitching makes me want to EXPLODE! But I'm one of those people who thinks before they speak or choose to shut up all together and vent in other ways!
Ah-my notebook/journal is in my BE beauty maybe it's time to write..... IDK.... none of it would prob make sense though.
Damn- it's been a while- I need a stiff drink! (Vodka/cran)

Thanks! It is the perfect size!

I've medicated myself w/ migraine med and flexeral. There's no adult drinks in my house at all. I wish there was. Right now though I can't really spend any $ on any unless I go and get an individual can of any of the Mike's Hard Lemonade variety. I may just go and do that, idk yet. I did already take meds. Didn't sleep well last night either- other half- ugh- had me steemed and also my mid-term reports are stressing me out too. So my mind wouldn't shut down last night.

Well ladies, I have to share a little excitement with you. I just had my first near tornado experience this morning. I woke up this morning at and heard a wind so fierce I wasn't sure what to do. My first thought was I should grab the family and go to the basement. I didn't because it didn't sound like a train. Strange huh? We did have some damage to the roof but thank God it's still attached to the house.

You would think that being born and raised in Kansas, this would not be such a big thing but then again it is December 28th?!?! Plus it was in the 70s yesterday and now it's 28 and snowing????

^^ Omg, kshtrdgrl!! I'm so glad you and your home are ok! <3

I don't know how I would deal with that. It's bad enough we get earthquakes.

Scary, I know from firsthand experience. In 2006 a tornado destroyed some buildings at the community college where my FILaw is President and then went across the street and demolished the dealership where my husband works. He and some of the ladies that work in the office had walls collapse on them and cars flew across the street. It looked like Armagedon. It was about 1/4 mile away from me and my son who was 6 weeks old at the time. The sky was as dark as night and it was 2:30 in the afternoon. And last year another tornado struck basically across the street from us. I live in TN and it is pretty bad here.

Tornadoes????

Wow - that sounds scary. I'm glad you're all okay.

Yah, we have earthquakes, but I feel like you can somewhat control things more with them. At least you can bolt stuff to the walls so that it won't come crashing down. I guess if you're in the middle of the epi-center, then that doesn't work either, but I've been VERY lucky.

Still continuing on weather news from last night I must add in mine:
Yesterday here in NW Ohio was very warm almost 60 and ppl were wearing shorts and what not. Me, I knew I should just still layer a bit b/c I'm the type to get sick from such drastic weather changes. So I left for my sis's (my lamb in tow w/ me of course) in jeans, a l/s t and my s/s Harajuku Lovers Gwen T, and my long black wool sweater over that, and my Harley boots (I shoulda taken a pic- the whole look was hot).
Anyhoo- back to the subject- the eve got rather windy still mild and there had been some rain and even some thunder and lightning! But what startled me though was about 5 in the morning I was woken up by such a fierce wind that I thought there was a tornado coming! But it didn't get any worse- still was very windy but nothing like that one huge gust!
The only thing I've seen damage wise so far was that my Christmas decor in my flowerbed are all knocked over- but still there at least none blew away! I did find one of my neighbors decorations in my driveway though and returned it.
It was just crazy though for December! Several years ago there was a tornado that hit close by us but missed us and that one was strange b/c it was in November. Wacky weather I tell ya! At least all the snow and ice is gone! Yay! I'd already fallen once (still aching from that) and have had 3 more near-falls. I'd had enough w/ that ice! Now there's mud everywhere though! So much for pulling out my Steve Madden suede boots!
