never tried it. do you mean, you want to join so you can 'test drive' a bag before buying? or just to be able to switch around without committing to a bag?

for me, i don't like used goods, don't buy used, so i don't think i'd be comfortable with borrowed bags. and also, in a way, i'd feel like i was throwing my money away. because once you return them all, essentially you don't have anything to show for it. other than having tried some out, but you don't own any.

so, not sure what i think. if you like to switch up your bags a lot, and don't want to make large purchases, or just want to really try a style before buying, i guess it could be useful for you.

what are the costs?

I was curious, I never saw lamb on there before. The lamb bags seem to be 14 dollars a week which is tempting to try for fun. They do have the most recent bags so it might be nice to try new styles and I think theres an option to keep the bag for a price? I have to look that up. I'm tempted.

I've seen lamb on there a bunch before, but I agree with alliemia, I feel like I'd be throwing away my money

I used to belong to that site back when lesportsac lamb was big. Actually I'm not sure how much it cost because it was a gift from my doctor but I used it a few times...I'm lazy and so I kept the bags for long periods of time. They always came in good condition and sometimes they have a members only outlet and sell the bags.

I feel like $20 a month for a LAMB bag is a LOT considering you can get a Williamsfield for around $100 at the outlets.

I have rented L.A.M.B. from there before. I used a coupon to get a free year membership. I only rent new bags so I pretty much stalked the site until there was a new L.A.M.B.. up. I usually only rented for a month at a time. A few times I returned bags early and Avelle will give a credit for that.

I am fickle with my bags. This worked out much better for me than buying, deciding I didn't like it after carrying it and trying to resell or having to pay shipping to return to a retailer. This way I get my L.A.M.B. and other brand fill and can either buy the bag after I've rented it or return it for a newer style or different brand.

Also, Avelle customer service is outstanding.

If I've got a bag in my posession- I don't want to give it up easily if I LOVE the bag, so for me, this is just a no-no. Plus, I can't really even afford the "rental" fees.

What happens when someone doesn't return a bag?

legsie..i'm sure they have your credit card on file and if you don't return they probably just charge you for the bag.
