Default Esquivel Satchel
Hi,

To those of you that own this bag - do you like it? Is it comfortable to carry? Is it heavier than the Mandeville? Thanks!

I had the esquivel. I love the way it looks and its a very unique shape. However whenever I looked at myself carrying it in the mirror I just didn't think it looked right on me. I'm weird I know.

I have modeling shots and guts post in those threads. But I think it looks great, holds a decent amount and is comfortable to
carry. It just wasn't for me.

Knasarae, you're not weird! Unless we both are.. I also owned the esquivel. I think it looks cute. However, I didn't like carrying it or how it looked on me. The zipper pulls can be very annoying too. I miss my esquivel sometimes when I see other people with one but it just wasn't for me. I could fit it on my shoulder but it was like a triangle wedge and very uncomfy, very long too. It had plenty of room. That's I loved about it. The zippers on the sides are kind of different to me but made the purse open bigger like a square if I remember correctly and it was awesome. It seems shallow and long compared to the mandeville. The mandeville is just way better in my opinion. I think they probably hold about the same amount of stuff, but I'm not sure because I didn't have a mandeville then. This was my first lamb, along with the grantham. I ended up never taking it out because it felt so strange on me.

^^The Mandeville holds more. I did a comparison somewhere in the monster thread.

I like the shape of the Esquivel but on me, it didn't look right either.

Well, let me rephrase that. It's a good bag if I don't want to carry much because for me, it definitely didn't fit as a shoulder bag and I like that option.

But Brick, for $150, that's totally worth it!

I think I'd give it a second chance at 149!!!! I probably wouldn't use it as much but thats a great price and its still a very cute style. It might work out perfectly for you brick, you never know! I didn't think I could pull off a mandeville since I'm used to smaller bags but now I love my mandevilles a ton!

Let me just say this.............

I did pick mine up for $240 though, so at that much of a steal (not as good as Brick though!!), I couldn't pass it up.

I really like my Esquivel. It's the first lamb bag I bought and I use it a lot. It can fit over the shoulder if you need it to, but it is most comfortable being handheld. I think it's lighter than my mandeville, personally. I don't carry much so it holds all I need it to and then some. The shape is cool to - unlike anything else!
