Default A New Purchase that needs some answers please

My first lamb purchase since I have been away........ I found this on eBay and need your opinions please..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=008

I had purchased this same bag from eLuxury about a year ago or so, got it on sale and decided to return it. A couple months after I returned it, I was so upset and wished I hadn't returned it. I have been looking again for this bag ever since. I was so happy to find it on eBay and cheaper than I had gotten it previously from eluxury even on sale.

First, does anyone know this seller? Hopefully it is a TPF lambie???? Anyway, I asked if there were any flaws, marks or sratches on the bag (see pictures she has listed on her bid), because it does look like it. She told me no, it was new, with tags and that is just how the leather is. So, I purchased it and just yesterday she sent me an email saying she now understands what I was talking about, the flaws and wants to know if I still want her to send me the bag. She still states she thinks it is the way the leather is suppose to be. I asked for additional pictures and/or possibly money off then.

At this point in time, she is just going to send me the bag and I will inspect it. I really, really, really want this bag and am not sure if those are marks in the picture or even remember what this leather was like when I had the previously one from eLuxury for a short period of time. I am thinking she probably got it at a discount store and it may be beat up....

Any suggestions or thought lambies??????????

i think so far you make a right decision.. inspect the bag and you can live with the scratch and all, ask for partial refund.. if you can't and the scratches will bother you, return it.. i think it pops up on eBay quite often nowadays and some of the lambies spot the kensington line @ off 5th and NR..

Well if you want it that bad, keep it. THere are some issues that we will put up with because we do love a bag. But since you can look at it and send back, dont sweat it. Keep in mind that the bag is DONE! She wont be making that bag in that color probably again until 2027 as an anniv edition or somethng (joke)...

I just hope it is not that bad, the flaws I mean, because like you say brick, it is a bag that is not being made anymore.... Keep your fingers crossed. I don't know why I ever returned the first one, I kicked myself over and over and over again!!!

Under the thread, celeb's wearing lamb, gwen is carrying, it looks like, a similar bag in a yellowish color. Do you guys know which one I am talking about. I hope that one comes out or if it already is, let me know, as that is another definate bag that I want!

The leather is a soft buttery leather and the little marks and creases will eventually happen while you use it, and there might be a line from when it is folded to be used as a clutch. My signature PVC carlilses have that line, but the PVC is hard.

If the seller has a good return policy just wait to get it in your hands and see how it looks. Sometimes the light, flashes and angels can cover up any marks, flaws.
And if it doesn't look good for you just return it.

I love this leather. I have the smoke/brown belt bag & the leather is this exact color/finish. I personally think it is one of those leathers that will gain character with age and some distressing & may look even better as well over time because of that. BTW, I have been ogling this bag on eBay for at least a month now. So gorgeous.

This is also the one clutch that has the shoulder strap - why I'll be looking back on eBay for this one after I pay off the last purchases during the Nordies sale. I can't use the newer ones without the extra strap.

Update.... I rec'd the bag as mentioned above. Even though it is new with tags, it appears as though the bag is worn. It is not like the new bag I rec'd from eLuxury when I had ordered it. This one is broken in, which I would assume came from a discount store. There is also a small mark, pen?? and a long scratch in the leather across the front of the bag. I love the bag, but it just does not appear to be new and I can't see paying $349 for it in this condition. I asked the seller to go down to $275. Guys, please give me your thoughts.... Pics below.

You mean this bag pops up often? meaning it has been thru many hands?
If the seller accepts $275, do you think that is worth it.... My mind is clouded because I have been wanting this bag so badly...... Not sure what to do.

i mean i saw notting hill clutch auctions quite often on eBay.. not just from this particular seller..
uhmmm, i think it's all depends on you.. do you think its worth it? if you can live with the slight imperfections, then keep it.. and those marks won't be noticeable when you wear it as a clutch right?

Oh... stupid me... lol!! The bag is not extremely bad, but just appears as if it has been used for about a year.... I could get over it because I love it so much but don't know if $275 is worth a bag that is in this condition. I guess i have to decide, but can't........
I am still waiting for the seller to respond to my offer of $275. I wish I could find that yellowish one Gwen is carrying in those pics under "celebs wearing lamb". I would pay full price for that one!!!!!!!!!

Raider, I don't know if anyone else posted this BIN listing - but I've been eye-ing this - maybe it would help in negotiations with the seller if you pointed it out? It's not that far off from $349...

http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-L-A-M-B-Kensington-Notting-Hill-Smoke-Clutch_W0QQitemZ330245343081QQcmdZViewItem?hash=it em330245343081&_trkparms=72%3A552%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A 12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I know how you feel on this, tho. It's always tough for me to decide what - if anything - would be a good discount when I get something that feels not up to par for what I paid. There's the figuring in off the stress & pain-in-the-a$$ costs for discussing, negotiating and/or repacking and shipping back. I try to make my decisions based on "will this p--- me off every time I look at or use the handbag, if so, how much would it take to make me feel happy that I got a great bargain instead"

A lot of times I've found the answer is "it would have to be FREE in order for me to be happy". Which lets me know I better return it, or risk hating the bag forever. To me, it's like any relationship - it's about what scars/flaws/features/eccentricities you can accept & deal with over the long term...
(hmmm.. none of that may have made sense?! but I know what I'm trying to say LOL)
