Default seems more a clutch than a cosmetic case
The pleated cosmetic case is gorgeous. What do you think of carrying it as a clutch? http://www.kooba.com/Cosmetic_Case/p...9/p/96448.html Has anyone seen it in person? I may just stalk it until it's on sale...it's beautiful.

It is nice. It would be great to keep in your bigger purse to pull out as a clutch. I love the selection of colors too.

That is cute. They are doing cute clutches, but their big bags still are missing what I used to love about Kooba. I see they finally got on the ball w/ free shipping too from their site...

The kooba website sales could be about 10-20% less also.

Are there codes? I am loving the colors.

Elizat, you are an old Kooba devotee...how are the new little bags/make up bags? I scored the Hope at NMLC for 125 (they still have another black leather one, but it is going for 170 now). How does that compare to old school? I love the Hope, despite the fact that it is my bag that caused cc debt...I will make that go away on 2/28, but still didn't like incurring it...but after stalking the bag since July, I knew a deal and jumped. Is it more old school in quality or new school?

I agree. Some of the prices are more competitive than they used to be, but I remember before their sales prices were not at all in line w/ other retailers.

They changed the leather and the styling vibe changed too. They used to use the most beautiful, thick and rich leathers. The new leathers are thinner and not the same quality at all. I've read that one of the bags, the Rachel, has better leather, but I've not seen one in person. I've handled new clutches but not the Hope. The newer ones- whatever the black/white w/ bright piping was (the Bennie?) and one of the small bags from the rouched line up were both the new leather. I was not really impressed b/c the old leather was amazing. I miss the old styles (like the Brynne, Marcelle, Sienna, etc.) too- they just had such a different feel than the current bags do. I still love the Elisha though and think I'll hold on to my Sloane.

i love pleats too! i would use it as a mini purse aka clutch since i do not wear much makeup. If it had a removable strap that be even better since i like to swing my purses around

I got to see this lovely at NM today in the gorgeous pink. I picked her up and said aloud in my excitement, "it's the makeup case." The SA decided to educate me and said, "It's a handbag. It's called a clutch." I put it down and said, "Okay." Ahem! Two problems with that: she shouldn't be rude to customers and she should know the product?

Anyway, while annoyed, I adore this bag in person. The zipper is heavy and is smooth. The leather feels great and is on the thicker side of the newer Kooba leathers.

And it's on sale for 117: http://www.kooba.com/Cosmetic_Case/p...9/p/96448.html So worth it, imo.

I started to then stopped since she wasn't going to hear me. I tried the zipper and walked away to talk with the nice, very helpful SA, who then sent me over to the Lancome counter for a makeover with a celebrity makeup artist. Totally fun. I am SO buying my Kooba makeup case from the second SA.
