Default Questions Answered by Kooba's creative director, Abbe Held!
Hey Kooba fans! I just wanted to let you know I had a chance to send a few questions to Abbe Held - Kooba's creative director. She is fabulous! Megs and Vlad will be heading up to NYC soon and while up there will meet with Abbe!!! In order to tempt everyone a bit, I just posted an interview "teaser" both on the forum under blog entries as well as on Purse Blog and Purse Blog Savvy. Take a look and I hope you enjoy!!!

How awesome! This is truly great news and I have two great Kooba bags, but they are older.....a Sienna and a Jessie. I will never part with any of them. I, truthfully, havent' been sold on the past few seasons, except for the Lola, which I believe came out about a year ago. So, I will continue to follow Kooba and see what they have to offer. I always loved their ultra suede lining, and I wish they would bring it back!

Thanks for the link, shanbop! Sounds like some neat colors are in the upcoming collection! Now if only there would be a revival of Lucy and Sienna...

I would like to see the quality of the older bags but a little less heavy. I can't do those shoulder breaking bags anymore.

Shanbop,

When you had this great opportunity, why didn't you bring up the problem of customer service? No company can afford to alienate its loyal customer base with poor customer service.

Nice info and thanks for sharing it, but I wish she would go back to some of Kooba's original designs, not using the exact same because that really isn't changing anything but man the originals are the ones that most on here love the most. Sticking to that would be heaven in my mind. A lot of the newer styles don't appeal to me, I may find one or if lucky two I like and then even those are not ones I just die to have, which is what I mostly look for. Also the issue of poor CS would of been interesting to see how she would answer it, but it probably wouldn't of been much of an answer or help with it anyway. Seems CS has been the way they are for a long time and doesn't seem they are going to change nor care as long as they are selling bags. I love Koobas I do have but I have dealt with other brands and the CS is so unreal, it is great. Don't get that with Kooba at all.

Problems with CS are usually due to poor management and or poor training. Companies with these causes often slowly deteriorate.

I wonder if they could revamp favorites from past seasons like the Brynne and the Jillian.

update the Kooba website already. Put some of those last season bags on sale and post al the new ones. They are probably returns anyway. I tried to order a blonde bonnie and it looked to have ring marks from a glass on it. I would really like to buy one but I feel like all I will get is a return for full price. Let's pick up the pace in CS and move it along.
