Wow I love the rick purple color. My new purple handbag is a lot lighter than that but I really like yours. I agree it is a bit more practical and more of an everyday bag. Congrats!

Gorgeous! Love the style, hardware and color! And I'm SO glad to hear the positive comments on the leather quality.

Congrats and enjoy that beauty!

Beautiful! Congrats.

I've been thinking of getting this as a work tote but I'm never good at visualizing sizing. Can you easily fit a magazine in sideways?

Thank you everyone for the nice replies!
I just got back from Las Vegas and saw some nice bags. I saw the purple Rachel in the same color as this Ellie and it is a nice hobo but from what everyone has been saying I agree that the top might be kind of hard to get in and out of because of how it tapers to the top. The Ellie would be a great workbag or everyday bag. The color is a rich dark dark purple. If you are looking for a structured bag then this is for you. It will fit a magazine sidewards in it. I dont have anyone here to get a modeling picture right now.

That bag is stunning. I just ordered a Rachel in the purple but I am not sure I can get the Ellie off my mind! :)

Can you put the bag on your shoulder at all, with or without a coat?

The bag fits on your shoulder good but with a coat it will probably be tight unless you are small. Congrats on getting the Rachel.

The handles are stiff kind of like the Lena I got when it first came out. I hope they soften up. She is gorgeous and I love the outside pocket but you still cant beat the leather on the older Koobas now that was some kind of great leather.

Hi BUTTERCUPMF,
I dont have the Ellie anymore. I loved that bag and the color is amazing and I loved the distressing of the bag. I didnt use the bag so I really didnt give it a chance but the handles squeaked and it really bugged me. I think once it beaks in it wouldnt do it. Maybe someone else that has it can chime in about theirs. I would say this bag is gorgeous and practical and would get it if squeaky handles dont bug you.
Let us know what you decide.
