kooba bags are cute but to me I feel like some are not very well made. I have one that my mother and boyfriend absolutely despise because they think it is so ugly. On the other hand I have 2 botkier and one Lockheart bag that I consistently get compliments on. Anyone else like those brands better?

I think that the leather on the Botkier bags now are very close to what Kooba used to use a few years ago. I still like Kooba styles.....just not their choice of leather at the moment.

Hi: As a matter of interest, which Kooba is it that your family despises so much? One thing I will say about Kooba is that, regardless of the recent leathers used, I've always considered them well-made for the most part.

I like Botkier...or rather certain Botkier....but think their last season was blah and their current is definitely better but the leather seems so thin on many of the new bags. Lockheart is a favorite of mine - the designers are the same ones who founded Isabella Fiore - and I think some of their designs are fabulous...yet others are just weird.

I agree with KoobaMe. I like IF bags a little better than Lockheart. Lockheart gets a little bizarro for me. I am a big fan of Bot Bags but the last season is questionable. I think their leather choice has changed a bit along with Kooba but not quite as bad. I will probably try another soon.
And Kooba bags were a Favorite but not the past 2 years. But never have I ever had a quality problem with Kooba besides the leather. Nothing ever fell off, tore, or broke. I think the bags used to be very very well made. I can't attest for the last couple seasons because I never kept one I bought.
