Could we start a catalogue of Kooba tag codes (serial numbers) found on the brown Kooba tags?
I have noticed that this may sometimes be a clue to a fake, if the number does not match the year, model and color of the bag to which it is attached.

Good idea, but not dependable, as evidenced by my posts regarding what the Kooba tag called a Siena Nutmeg, and the TPF overall said was a Sienna Expresso. So, wrong tag, but not a fake Kooba?
Lots of room for error here. And as much as I have used Google in the past two days, I can attest that I found no entries that would help with Kooba Style numbers, etc. The cupboard is bare. |

For the fall 2005 sienna production batch, the Nutmeg is color code 1, the Espresso is color code 5, the Black is color code 4.

Thanks for that information Koobalover, I needed to know that.
I spent hours on Google today seeking out information on the 2005 line. Found a lot of interesting info, just not what I needed right now. I do have a few bags with the Kooba tags, be happy to include the information in a listing. |

The serial numbers are on the Kooba tags, they really are Style# and Color #, not serial numbers.
