Kooba Katy Question

I just picked up a Kooba Katy in black in the NM sale. It was 271 after the discount. Is this a good deal? Does anyone else have the bag, and if so, what do you think of it? It's my first Kooba and I'm nervous that it's one that nobody likes, lol.

Geminiz is right - you have to love it - you're the one wearing it

IMHO if you would not wear it because other people didn't like it, it might not be the bag for you.

One of the best things about Kooba is the diversity of styles - there are bags that people on this blog GUSH over that I find incredibly unattractive, and others that I would die for!! And I love that about the brand.

Oh, I'm sure I'll love it. It's been shipped and should be here this weekend (unless the tracking goes evil as it sometimes does, lol) I was just wondering if it was a "questionable" style since it was on NM's Last Call sale.
It's my first Kooba so I'm very psyched. And if I don't like it, I'll send it back. I love the one in your picture (thanks so much for the close up!!!)

Hi Malleficent,

I'm a little late in replying but wanted to chime in about the Katy. It's my first Kooba bag and I absolutely adore it. I've had it now for a little less than a year and use it as my everyday bag. I love the size -- I carry so much in my bag (including sunglasses, GPS, large checkbook type wallet, pen, lipgloss, etc.) that it's important for me to have a big enough bag. I also find its magnetic and zipper closures extremely convenient. And, it has an additional compartment apart from the main interior where I can put smaller items such as post-it notes, business cards, etc.

Apart from its functionality and convenience, I also love the look of the bag itself! I've also gotten a ton of compliments from friends and strangers.

I hope you will end up loving yours as much as I do mine!

I got my Katy, and I really like it! But I noticed that the leather is not smooth, it's almost crunchy or crackly. Is it supposed to be like that? I know some people mentioned it having a "coating." Is that normal? Or have I got a funky bag? I'd include pictures but my camera is on the fritz. Again.

It does have a different glistening texture to it. I think it gives the bag character. I was still able to spray wilsons tlc on the style I have with that leather.
