Isn't it frustrating when you list an item on eBay, a new item with tons of pictures and measurments. Then the buyer sends you an email telling you how much they love the bag and even leaves great feedback.
But wait, then a week later after they have used it they email you to ask if you would accept a return because they have determined it is too small for them. A new bag mind you. Wow, this has happened to me but I don't email the people I purchase from like they are a retail store. I just suck it up and sell it. It is not the end of the world and it's not the sellers fault you decided it was not the bag for you. Sorry, I had to go on a rant for a minute. ![]() |

Girl, I hear ya! I sell a lot on eBay from time to time and can't stand dealing with that. This is one reason I am NOT HAPPY with the new FB system which IMO is trying to make all of us little sellers on their act like stores and jump for buyers no matter what or they will leave negative FB. I haven't sold in a while but when I start again I will hold fast to my no return for sizing and such. Only if I messed up on something in the listing and if I get negative I will wear it with pride. There was a post on message board for all ebay sellers to stop leaving any FB for their buyers at all and send them a nice email at the beginning saying you will not be doing so and it is due to ebay's dictator way of changing the FB system it is a total joke. They can care less about all the people who are making them the most money, doing all the work...the sellers. They only care about their money. I heard rumors some time ago that google was thinking about opening and auction site, this is one company that may give ebay a run for their money and I will jump on it the moment they do! Ebay banned googlecheckout which takes credit cards so buyer is protected buy using their card, the fees are way cheaper with googlecheckout and they have been around for years now and are established but ebay say's they are too new. NO, THEY ARE AFRAID of the competition so they will not allow you to use them as payment auction on their site. Just a way to get you to give them even MORE MONEY THROUGH PAYPAL, their whole system is WHACK and I cannot wait for the minute there is a good alternative that comes out and I have the feeling it may be coming soon. Sorry but I could go own forever about this, I am fed up with all their BS and raising fees everywhere but treating customers (sellers) like crap.

^ wow, on eBay i occasionally sell items i'm tired of or never got around to wearing. thankfully i haven't run into any buyer who's taking advantage of that perceived system based on community and trust.
i do like the relatively recent addition of more descriptive seller feedback. it's helpful to have confidence that a seller is reliable and reputable. but yeah, a few bad apples can ruin it for everyone. i've read unhappy eBay sellers are also turning to craigslist and kiiji. that's kinda more iffy for me. i'd prefer at least to have the impression of protection that paying with paypal provides all ebay users. |
