Default Did older Sienna's have a thin zipper?

I received a Sienna today and am feeling 95% sure I made an eBay mistake.

The zipper is very thin overall, however it is thicker on the end. The zipper is nowhere near the size of the ones in my other Koobas. The size is comparable to the zipper on children's clothes.

The Kooba logo is engraved on both sides. Per Christi's Kooba Guide that is a sign of a fake.

There was no picture of the zipper shown in the auction, the pictures looked good to me. The leather seems so much thinner than the other Sienna (Ivory) that I own.

Could some of the experts please look at #130234961478 and let me know what you think?

TIA

Looking at the leather and the color, I think it might be the Sienna in Espresso, circa 2005. The leather variation looks genuine and it was produced three years ago so perhaps Kooba did change up the zipper. I know a good giveaway for a fake is the zipper pull but the leather looks good too.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this for me.

Why would a bag have a Kooba tag listing the color as Nutmeg? Any ideas? The Style # listed is F541L-1

The color is rich, the leather is soft. The markings are not consistent, which I know is a good thing.

The only discrepancies I found as compared to my Ivory Sienna is that the brads used to attach the straps to the "O" ring are smaller on this bag, the zipper is obviously different as it is lots smaller and engraved on both sides.

Also, the magnetic snaps have different numbers. All of my other Kooba's have U.S.A. 1974222. This bag has
OK 0973628 on the top of the circular snap and OKPTA1519426.

I seem to remember a post at one time regarding what the trademark should be and it was the 1974222.

Can you please post closer pictures of the zipper? I looked at the eBay photos - I need more information. Usually they didn't start faking Siennas with the khaki lining, only the lavender.
Plus Nutmeg is one of the older colors of the Sienna, along with the Luggage color, although with both of those, it's usual to see the lining actually say "kooba" on them with the white letters.
Post more pictures, please?

Siennas from different seasons are going to be different. I've had circular snap numbers be OK and USA. Depends on where the bag was produced. Zipper types have changed all through the seasons. No fake bag has that type of leather. It's beautiful leather. And I have had older Koobas have the thinner zipper pulls. I do tend to think this is an Espresso bag from 05 like KoobaMe says.

Nothing to me makes me think this bag is fake although I think it has the wrong tags on it.

Jchiara,
I posted more pictures on the "Authenticate this Kooba" thread.

Lexie2000,
If you check my pictures on the "Authenticate" thread you will see the Kooba tab. I have lots of particulars listed in that thread.

You two, I am so happy you discovered this post of mine. It got so involved I moved it to where it should have been. Just had too much information for this thread.

Thanks again.

I just did an extensive search on Google. Any photos of Sienna Nutmeg show a tanish bag, definitely not the darker color I have. I am thinking also that the original seller stuck the wrong tag on it, or that's how it was when she bought it. My seller says she purchased it a year ago, so there's really no way to know it's history as far as tags go. It is new, and it is gorgeous.

Does anyone want to comment on the information on eBay regarding zipper pulls engraved on both sides? It seems all the newer buyers manage to read the guides there, I certainly did a couple of years ago, which is why I remember signs of fakes.
