I just received a Kooba Annie NWT from Ebay US and paid quite a lot in customs charges on top of that. I was absolutely delighted yesterday and stupidly left the seller positive feedback right away. However, when I decided to put leather conditioner on it a few hours later, I noticed that one of the studs is missing from the strap on the outside. I am really upset about this and emailed the seller, and they replied the following:
" Hello, Thank you for your email. Please know that we are an outlet warehouse selling overstock/liquidation items way below retail. The majority of our items are new with tags but have been subject to many try-ons along with numerous shipping and handling before they reach us. This is why some items will have small issues like small snags, pulls or runs. They may also have loose threads, beads and or buttons that will NOT be noted. We consider these small issues easily repairable. However this should have been noted. I believe this could be taken in and repaired easily if you wanted to check on that? This was for a fraction of the retail price but I would be glad to help, let me know. Thank you . If you have additional questions please respond to this email." So what exactly are they offering me here/ And where do I take a bag to fix studs which I am sure are difficult to find? Anyone ever repaired a Kooba bag with missing studs?I don't want to send it back as it would cost me even more money and I would have lost the customs charges, so don't know how to proceed...? |

It really would be up to you what to do, but it sounds like the seller is willing to make it right. If you don't want the hassle of returning it, take it to a leather repair shop and see if they can match the stud. It shouldn't be that difficult to match, it's just a round brass stud. Get a quote from them and advise the seller what the charge will be. The seller should definitely refund you the cost. I know I have read about others having studs replaced, I just can't find it right now. Let us know what happens.

Kooba will send you replacement studs if you email them a picture of the full bag and a close-up of the area missing the stud. The email address is Ada@kooba.com
