Can anyone give me advice on what to use on the MA Sienna??

I received her and she is a beauty!, but since it is metallic and the leather is different from my other Koobas, I am afraid to use the Lovingmybags cleaner (not that it even needs it) or the pro treatment.

I have the Wilson's leather protector on order, but I am so afraid to try ANYTHING for fear of having something weird happen to the finish. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I used Wilsons on mine as it was new and I just wanted to protect it. I've never really had to clean my bags as They don't get dirty but I may spot clean them. But so far I haven't had to do anything with the MA except Wilson's it.
I had a Vintage Kooba in green patent crackle leather that I got on ebay. It was dirty and dried out. I used LMB cleaner and then moisturizer on her and it made her look wonderful.

Thanks so much Lexie....I'm just scared to death if you know what I mean. It is incredibly soft and slouchy, and I could not believe how beautiful it is in RL. I just don't want to mess it up. Thanks again!

Well, whatever you decide on, use the product in an unseen area (like maybe inside the bag where the snap is) and see if the product changes the leather in anyway. But I can promise you that just plain old Wilson's Leather & Suede protector will not do a thing to your bag.

I second that. I didn't read the instructions well and just soaked my Renee, metallic Maria, and this white, unfinished bag that I bought, with it. THEN I saw the "do not saturate" or something instruction. Great. But nothing happened. It just dried and my bags went back to their original colors.

Thanks Lexie.....I think I will do that. It really doesn't need cleaning or conditioning at all. It feels incredible amd looks good, so mabye I will just do the Wilson's when it gets here.

Katscorps...I would have just died!! I am so glad it didn't do any damage to them....I would have been sweating bullets until they dried.

Thanks HuskeyLover....I'm waiting to receive it. I ordered 3 bottles. It doesn't seem like it really needs anything. I just want to protect it. Someone obviously loved and cared for this bag in a big way so I wouldn't want to be the one to mess it up.

Lexie has already done the TLC whammy on my MA and I'm just doing "maintenance" a couple times per year now.

Hi Everyone! This is my first shot at asking a question. I have a very light purple/lavendar suede Kooba that I did not treat before I started carrying it. Now, not only does it have light dirt marks on it, I have an unknown streak of blue on one side. I have two questions. 1) Is there a product I can buy to clean it myself? If not, where is a good place to take it in the Washington DC area?
2) If/when it is clean, is it too late to spray it to prevent future stains?

Thanks!!

Hi! This is the first time I have asked a question ( 3 actually). I have a suede lavender colored Kooba that I did not spray before I carried it. Now it has not only dirty spots on it, but also a mysterious blue mark.
1) Is there something I can use to clean it myself?
2) If there isn't something I can use myself, does anyone know of a good place in the Washington DC area to take it to be cleaned?
3) After it is clean, is it too late to spray it to protect it from future stains, etc.?

Thanks for the advice!

Suede lavender, oh, gigi, it sounds fragile...

I would try some suede leather cleaner very gently and if the stains come off, I would spray that bag with suede leather protection..I use this on my shoes and it makes it really easy to clean off any marks...

Hate to say it, but I wouldn't do a thing to it. I've ruined a $2,000 suede shearling coat and an ugg hat by trying to clean them with two different types of suede cleaners. Took the dye right off and left light colored spots. If the spots are oil, they will probably fade with time. What you have now is surely not as bad as what could be.
