The reason Im suspicious is because the seller said that she used it at least twice but the tag is still on and its one of those plastic type ones, by the looks of it. I wouldnt usually keep a tag on my bag if I intended to keep it, epscially after taking it out at least twice?

Halzer, don't touch that bag! The tag with the plastic ring, that's how the label was attached to the fake I got last year, wouldn't go near it!

If this isnt fake then the seller must have made a mistake with the price? I havent seen fake embossed siennas before. Is this my first?

Look at how many fake Siennas he has for sale for the same price. Those pictures are just stolen from other sites. He even mis-pasted, calling the bag a "watch." There are so many counterfeits on the newly listed, I reported about 20 right now.

Well, I think if people go out of their way to help you - especially if they take the time to send you a PM like I did - I'd expect a response other than saying we're panicking. Sounds like you've pretty much convinced yourself you're buying the real thing. Good luck.

iluvmybags, good luck with your purchase! I can't wait to hear an update when you receive your bag! Rest assured that no one is panicking... there have just been so many threads here about people getting duped on eBay. It can happen to anyone, from beginners to experienced buyers. What's so great about this forum is that we look out for each other by sharing our opinions and experiences, and giving each other honest advice. We all have different levels of comfort when buying online, and in some cases it's a fine line between "to bid or not to bid". That's just how it goes down, I guess. If your gut is right, you got a great deal on a hard-to-find bag! I really hope it works out!

Im sorry if you're offended - if you've read my posts, you would see that I replied several times prior to the post you are referring to. Other than tell me that you had thoughts that the bag was fake, you didn't provide any info to back it up, other than to say the white string threw you off & that the seller's FB is too low. As I mentioned earlier, I don't rely on FB alone. Just becuz a seller has 25 or 26 FB doesn't mean they're selling fakes. If you checked the seller's history, you would see she has a history of selling gently used designer items - maybe the items no longer fit, maybe she changed her mind, or whatever. She does not have a supply of handbags and doesn't give any indication that this bag could be fake. Also, just because her photos aren't perfect (or on their side) doesn't mean the items fake. It just means she's an inexperienced photographer.

Having maintained a page on eBay regarding fake Marc Jacobs bags and Balenciagas, I've answered hundreds of emails on the subject of counterfeit handbags. I know the red flags to look for, and I didn't see any of those here. I've seen users jump to the run conclusion when they are not familar with certain bag. I've seen auctions where the seller has FB of 1000+ with professional looking pix - and yet the bags they were selling were fake.

I never suspected the bag was fake, but posters at TPF did. The one thing I asked about - more than once - was whether or not anyone here has ever seen a counterfeit Sienna bag with canvas lining. Within all the replies posted here - not one person answered that question or said that they ever did. Only christiD on eBay told me that she didn't think she had ever seen a fake Sienna bag w/canvas lining. After contacting her & reading other posts on TPF, I felt comfortable about this bag's authenticity - I would never have completed the purchase if I didn't believe the bag was authentic.

Someone here even went so far as to say that Luggage was never an authentic Kooba color, when I know for a fact that it was - that is the original color I wanted this bag in when the bags first gained popularity.

Once again, I apperciate your opinions and concern, and once I receive the bag, if I have any doubts and/or concerns, I know where to turn - but until then, I'm just going to be happy with my purchase and celebrate the deal I believe I am getting.

Oh, I hope you post when you get it; it looks like a gorgeous bag, and we're all emotionally involved with this Sienna now!

"Someone here even went so far as to say that Luggage was never an authentic Kooba color, when I know for a fact that it was - that is the original color I wanted this bag in when the bags first gained popularity."

I never said it wasn't an authenticate color. I asked if it indeed it was an authentic color because I did not know myself. I am trying to learn myself. Can you tell me what year this bag was issued?

We are all hoping your bag is real and you got a great deal. I have never purchased a fake Kooba so my criteria for bidding has worked for me and I never want to see someone pay good money for a fake bag.

Girls, I think it is time to take a breath and eat some ice cream.

In other words, chill.

About this whole sienna thing...
If I may throw in my 2 cents. I realize I'm a newbee here, but I have been reading things on this site for quite some time, to gain information and to get a few laughs as well. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of this thread to ask the 'opinion' of others on pictures of bags up for auction? In my thinking, it would be just that, an opinion or speculation that a bag is or is not authentic. It is my feeling that if you don't want to read the opinions, then don't ask! I'm not out to make any enemies here, I just think it's ridiculous to go on and on bashing each other about this. Someone asks for an opinion, you each give it, end of story!

Same with the Claudia. The pics are so dark I can't see the texture of the leather, and it doesn't show you much more than that. I think people would know that pics will sell or not sell an auction.
