No, no, no! All fakes, this seller should be arrested. Maybe that's where the blue Sienna comes from.

I think the seller is in Eastern Asia-if you look at the shipping charges, it is around $30, that is how much usually shipping from China is.

[/B]Wow, wow, wow, did Kooba really make a blue Sienna? What do you think?
Sadly it's fake. Too bad that Kooba never made a teal Blue Sienna because I bet it would have been a hit.

If you peruse Ioffer you'll find alot of the sellers are from Asia (nothing against Asia!) and you can't tell by pics because alot of them are stolen from legitimate bags on ebay. I have a friend who's pics showed up on Ioffer coming from China.

You are right Lexie, I did check Ioffer and found the blue and pink Siennas. I feel bad for the would be buyers finding these on eBay and thinking they have the real deal.

Hello, I have no clue about Kooba. How does this look (besides dirty) and can you give me any info (like style, year, type of leather, official color name, ~retail, etc.)? If the proportions are off, that is probably due to my attempt to resize the pictures in paint so I could insert them as attachments. If this is a problem, I could upload them an alternate way.

TIA!

That's a LUCY in Ivory (Spring 2006) and it's Lambskin. The Lucy is a lovely lovely coveted Kooba. If the one you showed pictures of is for sale I'd pass it up. I don't know if you could ever restore it unless you are willing to spend 200-250 at Lovinmybag. They do come up on ebay from time to time. This retails for 595.00 but this particular bag I wouldn't pay more than 30 bucks for.

Also, I am a big Kate Spade fan and have many of her bags. I have recently started to look at Koobas--saw a friend with one and fell in love. There's an unusual Kooba bag in pink listed on eBay for very cheap. Could it possibly be real? I read someone's blog about authenticating Koobas, and she said the older bags had the white lining with the multi-color logo.

Please take a look and let me know what you think. Or, possibly if any of you know the name of this bag.

Thanks!

I know this is an old message but I am a long time ebay seller and I can tell you that now on ebay if you say it is authentic it better be because you will be caught fast! So, actually, now it is pretty safe to bid on designer bags and/or vintage bags. I have bought several designer and vintage bags for myself and my daughter, just won a Picasso bag today. so great! Thanks.

Sorry to disagree, take a look at the Kooba listings, there are several directly from iOffer and BagaolDOTcom. Ebay isn't working that hard to remove fakes, they want those FVFs too much. As a seller I can tell you that when you are competing with bags scamming sellers have paid under $150.00 for you don't have much of a chance of selling to the innocent buyer.

This looks like a bag I just wrote the seller about. She/He is calling it a Claudia, it is not a Claudia, they don't have side pockets. It could be a Lucy.

Thanks so much.

I've fallen in love with the Talia, and some idle ebaying has turned up this -

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=380135638301

other than checking its authenticity ( main reason for posting here! ), could an owner of a Talia take a look at their bag and maybe give a better assessment of the damage to the handle? Thanks in advance

I am pretty darn sure this is a counterfeit. Would you please check this item and if you agree help me by reporting it? I have never seen so many fakes on Ebay at one time.

I need some help here. A person wrote me asking me about a Braedon they purchased. They feel it is fake. But they haven't said why yet. They wanted to me to check it out. This bag looks good in every way but the leather to me. It's actually so good as far as details I am wondering if it is a Sample perhaps. But as far as I know the Braedons were only made in Black and Terraine and the leathers on both of these are undeniable. This bags leather is in a color I am not aware of and a finely pebbled appearance. But if it's fake, it looks good otherwise. I asked for some other pics. Let me know what you think.

I heard back from her and this is why she thinks it is Fake:

bad seam at the interior bottom,
unfinished leather on the underside of the leather backing of the
metal plaque inside, white showing under the seam of the
leather inside of the bag, the tag is flat with a style number and
style name, but a blank next to the color and no price on the
bottom preforated part. The metal magnet inside has the same
numbers as my Cassandra, but I am just not sure!

She also wrote this to me. I explained to her that the zipper seemed normal and the lining seam is normal but the leather and color is still troublesome. I am wondering if the no tag could mean it was an early Kooba made in the US but how did it end up in a retail store where the seller says she bought it.

The zipper does get thicker along the side from front to back, but I neglected to mention that there is no "Made in China" tag inside the bag. The leather is lightly pebbled for the most part, though it is smoother towards the bottom on one side. As for the lining, it is sewn normally except for a a large portion across the bottom where the stitching is inside where you can see it versus the clean invisible seam most interiors have
