I'm confused on this one. The leather looks okay but Cognac Marcelle's are smooth and not distressed and this is dark brown and not Cognac. I owned the Cognac Marcelle and it is a Honey Golden color. I can see close enough to see how the handles are attached. They did not make a Brown Marcelle. I am saying Fake. Also, you could certainly make more money that 159 on an authentic Cognac Marcelle.

Lexie: I'm with you - the leather looks decent and completely different from the ugly, finely pebbled stuff the replicas use but Marcelles never came in dark brown. You're exactly right about cognac -it's a smooth leather. The leather on this one looks textured like a desert Marcelle, which coincidentally I'm carrying today. I wonder if they redyed it. The ties are missing from the side too.

I would suggeest asking the seller where they acquired it as well as for additional pics of the handles where they attach to the body of the bag, etc. but the auction is over. The interior zipper pull looks oddly long and narrow but that could be the angle at which the pic was taken.

the seller says he got it straight from the warehouse and that tags and dustbag are included. i asked for the actual photo but he said it's still wrapped in original packaging so he's hesitant to unwrap it for photos.

Honestly, while they live in NY and probably did grab a few at the recent Kooba sample sale...I still would want a pic. Even if it were the items in their packaging. The packaging can be opened without lessening the value.

Hi KoobaMe,

I bought my first Kooba on ebay before I found this site/forum. The seller agreed to refund my money if an authorized Kooba retailer documents that it is fake but the seller assured me that it is real since he states he bought it from a Kooba store. He has the receipt but won't include it with the bag as he states he bought other items from that store. I would really appreciate your opinion to the purse below. Thank you!
