Just take a look at the Ioffer website. You can buy a Kooba or Prada or anything for about 160 bucks. All fake bags. Alot of sneaky sellers will use stock photos for their bags so they look good on the auction then they send them their piece of trash.

Default Criteria.

I am an expert in a scientific field. My experience is that when an expert makes a call--either way--they give their reasons, their criteria, for that call.

The importance of giving criteria is so that others may understand your reasoning. It helps to educate the less expert, and forms a basis for discussion. Just making a call--authetic or fake--does neither of these things, and limits discussion.

Thanks.

I don't think our our longstanding members of TPF are required to give a reason why something is authentic if they know it to be so. There are so many requests for authenticity, can you imagine having to write out your reasons and/or an explanation for every single request? Our members most generously donate their time and help to those who request it. Sorry, I think you asking for members to give their reasons either way is a bit much. Sometimes it's required, other times it is not. It really is on a case by case basis. Of course, there is the odd time when someone who is less experienced assesses a bag's authenticity incorrectly - but that is few and far between. In most cases, I think the system we have is good and I'm grateful to those who go out of their way to make purchasing online a safer experience.

These bags look fine to me.

Why???

The first one doesn't show as many pics of the zipper as I'd like but the leather seems to be consistant with Koobas current season Elisha leather.

And the Jessie, I just simply know it's real. I have owned 4 of these and know what it looks like. The leather is good, and the tell tale flipping up straps. Also because Jessies have never been faked.

What is up with the knot of that bow on the Elisha? Did it just flip over or did the tie it differently.

It looked to me like they untied it and good luck ever getting it to look quite the same. When we all bought Elsihas in here a couple years ago when they first came out someone un-did theirs and we had to have intensive instructions on how to get it back...LOL It's a sailors knot but it seems like once you undo it, it never looks quite right.
