I am so thrilled to have found this site! My great uncle at one time owned a purse manufacturer and I am always looking for his bags, which were made in the 1950s-70s. The brand is Michels-Drew, so if you ever come across one please let me know.

Also, I am a big Kate Spade fan and have many of her bags. I have recently started to look at Koobas--saw a friend with one and fell in love. There's an unusual Kooba bag in pink listed on eBay for very cheap. Could it possibly be real? I read someone's blog about authenticating Koobas, and she said the older bags had the white lining with the multi-color logo.

Please take a look and let me know what you think. Or, possibly if any of you know the name of this bag.

eBay: KOOBA Blush Pink Satchel with Studded Detailing (item 300065087100 end time Jan-05-07 08:32:47 PST)

Thanks!

It looks to me like the seller reported an item she purchased. She bought something fake from someone else and in turn reported THAT seller. Not the other way around. Her negatives were not for selling fake bags.

I don't know. I am going to decline judgement. Someone in here bought a Butter Ginger I thought so maybe they can tell better. The seller sold a Sienna That she called "Rust" previously. When someone asked if it was Luggage she said yes. She says she thinks it was purchased at NM. And the auction is almost identical to this one. The Sienna like this bag has no close-up of the zippers and the Sienna has no closeups of the tassles but when I looked as close as I can they seem not to be braided.
Personally to me it seems like this seller does not know what she is selling. To buy Koobas on Ebay is a very Iffy proposition and to me this fits in the Iffy catagory. But I tend to only buy from people who have large reputations. I won't make a call on this one.

The color looks a tad off for some reason, not sure why, maybe lighting.

^ I agree. The Butter color on this Ginger does look darker than I thought it should be, but like you said, it could be the lighting. But other than that, it looks good to me. Did you ask where she purchased it from?

Bag looks ok, BabyK, her feedback looks pretty decent, just put off by "boughten by me" and "two woman", don't people check their listings..?

Doesn't mean the bag is fake, though, just feel people lose credibility when there are obvious spelling mistakes...

Does anyone know whether or not the older (original) Sienna bags were faked much? I'm talking about the ones with the brown canvas signature lining w/the name embossed on the end of the bag. You don't see too many of those around, so Im guessing those were made before the counterfeit market go hold of them
