iluvmybags, judging by pics the leather looks off to me. Older kooba or not it looks stiffer and crinklier and not typical Kooba. That combined with the white string and now knowing she bought it off of eBay ... I would be skeptical. I imagine the older Koobas were faked as well as pretty much as soon as Siennas were introduced they were the hit from what I have read.

That Jillian in bourdon looks perfect to me. My Jillian is black but the leather is the same, details are the same. That is one beautiful bag.

It looks good but personally I would love a better pic of the zipper pull and close up of the leather.

Jillians Rock! They are just so cool. One of my favs.

The Black Paige? Not sure. Not enough pics. It looks OK but I'd like a better look at the leather to see if those big pebblings are uniform or variated throughout the bag.

Hello. thank you guys so much for your help. I have had router problems and was just able to get back on line. Now from looking at the pic of the real ada posted the leather looks nothing like mine. my leather is nice and smells of real leather but it does'nt have that texture that it does in the pic posted. The tag thing has always bothered me but any one I asked was never really sure but now also I just heard back again from "the eBay kooba authenticator" and she said that she can tell just by the pics that its fake, that the leather is wrong. Well I hope I went about it the right way, I just emailed the seller and explained the same thing Lexie told me to say and that I was'nt saying she knowingly sold me a fake and that I would like a full refund. I told her I hoped we could work things out between the two of us. Should I have just gone straight to paypal ? Help !!! I want this to go as easy and smooth as possible. I thought I am supposed to try to work out w/ the seller first, right ? I feel so bad for waiting so long but something bugged me but at the same time I did'nt want to be a fool and send back a real one.

The BIN is £115 (about $230) but she is open to offers.

Halzer. I would steer clear of that bag. I don't have a Ginger but that leather doesn't look right...and girls, correct me if I am wrong but do the braids look too long? Also this seller sold a MJ Stam bag ridiculously cheap but the bidder only had 3 feedback and probably thought she got a great deal. Also this seller has a bad feedback for selling a counterfeit. All of this put together spells a No to me.

Thanks Cheekers and Lexie.
I did some investigating and compared the 'fake!' to a real pic from Koobas website.
I have ringed in yellow the fake errors, the most giveaway sign being the 'V' shape of the bag beneath the handles compared to the roundness of the real kooba. And LOL..yes lexie the braids are soooo long. The fake shouldnt be called a ginger, but maybe 'Rapunzel' would be more fitting!!

Thanks for saving my cash ladies!

No, you did the right thing; now the seller should do the right thing. If she does not, you can file a complaint with both eBay & Paypal. Please keep us posted as to the outcome.
