Hmmm, maybe I should switch the picture in my sig line...

ETA: - ok, changed pic in my sig line to one I had that was a bit darker.

Your changed pic reminds me of blackberry.

I've still to receive mine - it arrived in the UK 2-3 days after I'd ordered it (LB is fantastic!) but was held up in UK customs for 3 days and held to ransom by Parcelforce. I rec'd. a letter this morning telling me how much I had to pay, a total of £39.74 (which I was quite relieved at, £26.24 VAT and £13.50 Parcelforce Clearance Fee ). After paying it this morning, they could have then delivered it on Tuesday, but I'll be away visiting my Aunt, so I requested delivery on Wednesday instead.
When I get it I'll be sure to post pics in various lightings. But I am really looking forward to it!

Ohhhh GREAT looking bag!! I love it when this shade of purple is mixed with brass hardware.

that's disappointing that you don't like the color. The color is what drew me to this bag, but I certainly understand what you mean -- I spent 2 years in search of the right kelly green bag. I drove DH nuts -- he'd point out green bag after green bag and none was just what I had in mind, until I finally stumbled on a canvas Tommy Hilfiger bag in Marshalls one day this summer.

eBay the new bag and get one you really love.

It's here!It is just beautiful, exactly what I was hoping for, and more!
It has a fantastic colour, style and size and the handle drop is perfect for me.

I am blown away by the quality if the leather and the finish of the bag itself . It is impeccably finished off in every way and the leather just feels so squidgey and thick! The draped middle section is slightly thinner, but that's relative to the rest of the bag, which I find to be 'juicy'.

The whole bag just smacks of quality imo and I am thrilled!!! This is my first Kooba and I am sooo pleased!

The only bad thing now is that it's got to be wrapped up until Christmas Day - so not fair.

Aww, thanks Tash!

It's a fantastic bag in every way!

Y'know, I reckon I can squeeze in a bit more gazing and fondling before it gets packaged up .... I mean it's got to breathe for a while 'cos it's crossed the Atlantic and been in that box for over a week now, right??

OMG! I just took it out of it's dustbag again to admire it and have a quick squeeze etc. and DH walked in and said 'What are you doing?! You're not meant to be feeling it now, it's for Christmas!'
I did manage a last squidgy squash of it though, before Mr Meany took it into his custody.

Bwahahaha...caught in the act! You think you love it now...just wait till it softens more with use. About a week to 2 weeks after you begin using it, it gets softer...kind of like how a pair of dark denim is fairly stiff and firm when you get them but after a couple of washes they meld to your body and soften up into your favorite pair of cozy jeans...that's what the leather on rachel is like. Lucky you...you know you're getting a rocking Christmas gift!

Congreats, I'm so glad you LOVE it!! I felt the same way when I got mine, I was blown away by how beautiful it was and the quality is outstanding. It too is my first Kooba and a great introduction to the brand.

I was going to wrap mine up until Christmas too as a way to justify the money spent but that lasted oh about..2 hours once it was in my house.

Linda

Thanks divabeadz and LindaP! I can't wait until I can use it and it softens up even more! Two weeks today and it will be mine - least I know it will be worth the wait!

I haven't owned a Kooba in quite awhile but I'm really liking the look of the Rachel. Could anyone comment on the weight of the bag, in comparison with other Koobas (which I find to be a bit heavy) or other bags (e.g., BE, RM)?
