Default altering my new Annie

I got a smokin deal on a Kooba Annie at NM Last Call today. I don't like the long strap though. So I think I'm going to have another hole punched in the strap to make it hang shorter. Love the leather and the camel color, outside pockets....everything except the long strap. Has anyone else done this?

Congratulations. That is a good idea about shortening the strap. Don't you just love NM last call.

I do now! This is the first time I bought something there. I'm on their email list now so I'll be going back in the future. Today they had 20% or more off on bags (some 35%, etc.) plus I got an extra 20% from a coupon posted on TPF. And if I'd used a NM card I could have gotten another 10% off.

I have that coupon printed and in my purse in case the mood strikes. The DH is going to be out of town half of next week so the odds are high.

I do most of my shopping, too, when hubby isn't around.....not that he would care, but I feel more relaxed about my shopping habits. I would definitely have another hole punched, but I'd have a shoe repair or something like that do it for me.

thanks Compass Rose. I understand where you're coming from but my DH has a special tool designed for punching holes in leather. It has different sizes to choose from and he is very precise. He will measure to make the new holes the same distance apart as the original holes, etc. I trust him to do this. He is a lot more perfectionist than I and very good with his hands. If he expressed any doubt, I'd bring to the cobbler. The one thing that I'm slightly worried about is that the strap end may hang too long. I think with this bag being so casual it may not matter but if that becomes an issue, I'd have to bring it to a pro to have the strap shortened and the new end sewn. Fingers crossed.
