Sorry for my third post in a row, but does anyone know if/when dollyrocker will be listing new charms?

Madbargains is fine, totally authentic and legit. My only beef with them is that they tend to jack up the prices, but I have noticed lately that a lot of their items are showing up with a much more reasonable price range. I don't know about onelittlebox - their stuff looks fine but they're using stock photos so there's no real way of telling until you receive it.

SDR is really sporadic about adding new charms. Sometimes they have them before anyone else, sometimes they never get the newer ones. It's best to just keep on checking (although someone usually posts here whenever they're up). :)

great collection LV...love the jack o' lantern!
Thanks!
I was lucky enough to have a fellow JC loving friend sell it to me after I got stung from another seller when I tried to buy one.
Long story short, I got one for a great price, paid immediately, it was never sent. I was so upset when that happened.

But that's definitely ok, since every one of your chams has a special meaning!
Some of the charms are my mom's also (i.e. the duplicates and the ones I got for her for her bday last year and put in that pumpkin cookie jar. etc.), she doesn't really buy any for herself anymore, so I love buying a couple I know she likes when I'm able to.

Bella and LV, it is maddening when the "professionals" have nothing to do all day but snatch up lowball bargains and resell them.

You're welcome! I was happy to be able to finally do an updated pic!
And oh yeah for sure...I've missed quite a few deals due to resellers who sit on their computer and constantly look for new items. But I HAVE actually gotten some great deals myself, so I can't really complain too much I guess.

I don't know about onelittlebox, but as Cedes said, madbargains is authentic, just pricier. I think I bought a charm from them awhile back, they had great service.

You're welcome and thanks!

I looked at my pics again and realized I forgot to list the watermelon slice! It's in the pics but I didn't list it. Duh.

I agree with you on this! I have OCD when it comes to detail (which is another reason I Love these treasures!) so I fear of my charms being scratched, or worn. However I can't help but wear my collection I wonder if there is anything we can use to further protect our charms and bracelets? Especially with the new Rose bouquet charm, the Roses look extra vulnerable :(

I worked in the jewelry industry for some years as my first career. The best way to wear them without damage is to wear them one at a time, such as on a pendant, charm holder, or on a purse. When they dangle together and rub or bang against each other, that is when they can get worn or scratched, etc. Also, be sure to store them separately. I keep all of my jewelry in clear plastic bags so it can't scratch or be scratched. Even diamonds stored together can scratch against other diamonds. That being said, life is short and if you love to wear your charms you should. There is nothing like a big ol' charm bracelet just stuffed with charms to make a statement! So, I think it just depends on what gives you the most fun.

hi all, apologizing if i owe anyone a response, i just signed on to ask a question and haven't caught up yet with my reading (saw this last page only). get women talking jewelry, and we can't stop ourselves!

anyway, I tried to access the shopatbella site, and got some weird thing instead. anyone know what happened to them, or am i getting the name wrong?

they were good for some of the older charms so i wanted to check out the site -- i've suddenly decided i now need the owl and acorn. (didn't want either when they came out, but now i'm having non-buyer's remorse.)

pixie: laughed at your jungle comment about the bay, agree, you can really get eaten alive if you don't watch where you're going!!

I'm definitely not making fun of anyone... I really thank God that while we have common interests we are different. How can you all, those that do, collect these charms and not wear them? What are you going to do with them put them in a curio? Are you really going to keep them tucked in their boxes? Wow. Things saved fall prey to dust, moth and dry rot just to name a few. I wear my charms on the Charm Catcher necklaces at least three at a time and plan to increase that amount. I believe in living and enjoying life! I do know that there is joy in collecting but... Me, I drive my good car to work, wear my Sunday best on any day, don my good earrings if I'm going to the supermarket and eat hotdogs on my China! I'm not saving anything! I'm using, wearing, driving and whatever else, until there's no more of it left. Then I'll buy something else. There will always be something else. OCD, please stay away from me! Heeheeheeheehee.

Thanks for the elux sale info, guys! I finally nabbed a coconut drink charm! Early b-day present to myself? haha.

Thank you all for being helpful about the BJ Cupcake necklace and Juicy Cupcake earrings. I can't find the BJ necklace anywhere!

And it's my fault I missed out on the earrings, I just kept, well, doing "the right thing" lol and putting off buying them so I can make more important purchases, like oh, I don't know groceries and gas and class fees! Ugh, sure wish I had been irresponsible and just bought 'em anyway!!

Gorgeous collection pics Lv and Cedes, even though I saw them the first time around god does it NEVER get old seeing a bunch of Juicy charms all lined up together like that! So cute!

I agree with the whole needing to clean out the collection thing, even though I don't have nearly as many as some of you, I just feel kinda silly keeping ones that I'm not wearing or atleast staring at lovingly! I'm not big on selling on feebay, but the ones I have that just weren't doing anything for me I have been giving away as cute little presents to my friends at work, etc! Like the boombox charm, I had wanted that one so bad, got it, and just didn't like it. Something about the all goldtone ones are rather boring, I feel the same way about the new gold candy and gold bar. I'm happy! 2 more I actually don't want haha!

I know you're not making fun of anyone! You have some really good points in there, points that I really need to start living up to! I tend to be a little OC, not super bad, but bad enough. I keep all of my charms stored in their boxes, but I don't keep any sponges in the boxes to prevent them from banging around as I like being able to see them quicker! I also don't keep them in zippy bags or anything like that.

I think I'm like Lv, I wear my favs, such as the banana split often, but then some of my older, harder-to-replace-for-a-decent-price-ones, I don't wear at all, and just like to look at them like a dork lol. Like my rubber ducks. Though I really do wish I wasn't OC at all, because I think wearing one on a chain would be absolutely adorable come spring with a brightly hued tee and flip flops!

GLL: i think that way too... wear your dress before its out of style or doesn't fit, and use and enjoy the pretty candle that you keep unlit etc.

but, i have to admit, i don't always do that. i tend to store them away too, and when i think about it, it really doesn't make sense unless its for the investment, and in my case, its not. i don't buy my charms for an investment, i buy them for meaning as you do. so i really should wear them so i can enjoy them. (and that way others can enjoy them too)...

but on the other side of the coin, they are pretty fragile and i know i would be bummed if they got ruined. i change my mind more than my socks.

Mind you, I have favorites and I have some that have never had a spin but it's not because I'm saving them it's because heck, I don't think about them or haven't had an opportunity to wear them. Being a telecommuter/working from home doesn't afford me the day to day contact that I'd have if I was going to the office daily. I'll have to take a pic later but I don't even keep mine in the box. I had them in little velvet drawers in one of my jewelry boxes but I've taken them out of there and placed them in a long accessories bag that's clear with numerous pockets. They're hanging in my home office so that while I work I can periodically look over at them. They are not too special for me to wear because I, myself, am "the" special one not them. If I ruin one I know that there will be something else better to take its place. That's just how I think but I'm glad that everybody thinks differently. It makes this world a heck-of-a-lot more interesting! This board/forum is so much fun!
