Charl: agree this thread moves so fast, hard to catch up if you miss a day or 2!!
Digby: don't know if you're aware, but there is a really close fakey coconut, so unless you are 100% comfortable with the bay seller, might be best to get it on elux... especially given its on sale and you get peace of mind. strawberry: they make many more in gold than in the silver and the gold ones tend to have more detail. they look really cute hanging on handbags. Hokaplan: you're right to be concerned. as cute as the charms are, they aren't made the best and the stones fall out if they are banged around on bracelets. (you'll see lots of used ones on the bay missing stones, or scratched enamel. i mostly collect, but will put them on my handbag zipper. LV: wow wow wow, great collection!!! thank you for sharing it. love the caviar, that would be a fun one to have!!! drooling, over that one for sure!

Rebecca your collection is great! How long did it take you to line them all up?
![]() Thanks orkira! You never know, they may do a re-release..! A couple of posts back I mentioned shirleyqiu102 and her store full of nothing but fake Juicy (she also lists some Chanel and Dior which I can't speculate on but I would imagine it's also completely fake). Well, she changed her store name. New Store: http://stores.ebay.com/S-E-FASHION-ACCESSORY Link to ID: http://myworld.ebay.com/shirleyqiu102/ Do not buy from this woman. I reported some of her items to the bay but of course they've not done anything about it yet. If anyone else has some spare time and wouldn't mind reporting a few of the numbers they might actually get pulled down. What sucks the most is that she's sold quite a bit of stuff so far, and for a good chunk of change on each piece. She's probably making a $30-$40 profit on these cheap $5 knock-offs. >:( |

Thanks bellavino! That one has a story too lol...my mom got one for my aunt when it came out (my dad's brother's wife) and who knows what she ever did with it. Then my mom decided she wanted it too! So that was like a year later (2007-ish?)...I finally managed to get ahold of one at the time for $70. I thought it was high then, if I found one at that price now, I'd snap that up too! Lol.
Cedes- Haha omg...setting it up didn't take as long as gathering everything! I have them all in 3 or 4 different places and I can only carry so many at a time. ![]() Oh and I thought of 2 other old charms I'd like to find eventually for a good price... So in total, I'd like to find: pave pineapple, slot machine, roulette wheel, ghose, swan prince and pegasus. I'm almost afraid to buy the pegasus anymore from ebay because it's likely that it wouldn't be the old one, but the one from the newer fairytale set.

by the way, regarding the poison apple... that seller bought that on the bay recently at an obscenely low figure.
in fact, trying to find that auction, i did a search of her purchases and there were nearly 300 items (7 pages of about 40 items) purchased THIS MONTH alone... all jc and bj jewelry which she immediately resold. it just doesn't seem right to me especially given some of the sellers she got them from. |

^That's why when I try to sell my stuff, I've noticed that I've gotten lowball offers by some big name sellers...which is another reason I won't deal with them.
i.e. once I had a certain charm, had it listed as a $70 starting bid, then the buyer wanted to know if I'd do a BIN of $100...I said I wanted to let it go since I had a lot of watchers and she practically begged me to let her have it because it "was her birthday and she had been wanting that charm." I declined and encouraged her to bid, which she did, but didn't win, thank goodness...it went to a collector. Second experience with this person...I had another rare charm up, started it at the same price, and she wanted to do a BIN...I declined and she bid and bid and won it for $135. I kept an eye on her listings and saw she listed it as a BIN for $170 right after she got it and it SOLD for that price. I was so mad. Cedes- I reported some of the numbers...for some reason, when I try to select all items she has listed, I get that "ebay page not responding" message again! I don't get that for any other seller but her. |

Cedes: after your post, i reported some of her listings. only problem is that when they get suspended, they turn around and open a new account under a different name. some are so stupid and use the same pics but the bay lets em do it all over again!!

lv, that is maddening. i bet i can guess the seller. i see a few of them buying/reselling all the time. a few months back there was a listing for a world globe (my dream charm). she removed the listing before it ended and i wrote to ask if she was still selling it. she said another person offered her $250 for it. i told her i bet it was one of 3 people and she said i guessed right. next thing I know it was on the bay for $450.

bellavino - it's being sold by meowmeowww, so I'm pretty sure that it's authentic, although you are probably right and I should just get it from elux. Her listing on it is still fairly low, but it will probably jump up...I'm just gonna get it from elux. I'd rather just get it then wait until the elux sale is over and wish I'd gotten it then!

but the fact is, she is reselling items she bought on ebay - over 280 jc and bj items from ebay this month (from a bunch of different sellers - some of which might be considered not so trusted). i just have a problem with guaranteeing authenticity if they're not bought at a reputable store (especially given how close some of these fakeys are now!!) .anyway, i hope you get your charm either way and that you love it!!! |

LV, your collection is awesome! I don't plan on having no where near the number that you have
but I love looking at yours. That was sweet of your Mom to buy you your initial charms even when you weren't into them.

LV Thank you for sharing your fabulous collection!!! It is such fun to see those photos and wish for ones I want.
Cedes thanks for keeping us informed about the fake seller on the bay. This forum is so helpful when people are willing to share information to protect fellow collectors. Bella and LV, it is maddening when the "professionals" have nothing to do all day but snatch up lowball bargains and resell them. Is anyone willing to share info about bay sellers madbargains and onelittlebox? They seem okay to me, but would anyone chime in if they know something I should know before buying? I got a second chance offer on something I might purchase. Thank you. |

I have to say, I have never worn a single one of my charms! I am too obsessive and if it got damaged it would drive me crazy. I do wear jewelry that is "real" but there's just something about the charms that makes me want them to stay new and perfect. I just collect them because I can't resist and it's fun.
