Wow - this thread moves so fast! Like 3/4 additional pages since I last posted , lol. Well the seller assures me my lucky cat is not defective, and it shouldn't snap shut like I expected it to.
Hmm. I'll take her word for it I guess, only because other pictures of him seem to be similar to mine. I guess I'm just overly picky. I scrutinise everything! I think maybe the cat is one of those charms which is best bought from a store where you can compare them, as there seems to be some variation in his head. |

My mom has the lucky cat and it does snap shut securely. If she bangs it or moves it a lot it does come open on it's own.

I saw a couple of the Betsey Johnson cupcake necklaces at Nordies last week in Tysons Corner, VA. Try calling your Nordies or caling the tysons corner one to see if you can get one!
As for Juicy charms I decided that I really want the coconut drink charm and elux had (maybe has at this point!) it, but I'm watching one on ebay that is a lot cheaper! I'm not sure what to do...I mght get it from elux and return it if I win the ebay auction, but I hate doing returns, esp if it's online! |

I am just about to start collecting Juicy charms after seeing all your amazing and awesome collections! I wonder if the charms are also available in silver? I am thinking of getting the silver starter bracelet since the gold one looks too bright on my fair skin. Do you think it's funny to have the gold charms on the silver bracelet?

There are some silver charms available but they have no where near the same amount of detail as the gold ones. You can actually buy real sterling silver charms for the silver bracelet. They are more expensive..around $100+.
I had thought about doing the gold charms on a silver bracelet since all of my jewelry is either white gold or platinum. |

Thanks ShelleyM for your quick reply. I have a Tiffany silver bracelet and I might try attaching the gold charms on it and see how they look before I get it. I wonder why they make most of the charms in gold instead of silver since they also sell the silver bracelet. Does anyone really wear their gold bracelets and charms or do they only have it for their collections..

Ok, finally got everything together for a new family pic. Sadly enough, my charm count actually went up since last time lol, to 125...and I thought I had pared it down!
Oh and also, most of the loose charms are ones that were in the blue terry boxes. I'll eventually put them all back in the boxes. Oh and to answer, I think most people have said they do wear their charms (just look at all the posts of people looking for the charm catcher necklace!).
I don't wear them on a bracelet, I wear a single one on a necklace, use them as bag charms, etc. I rarely wear the irreplaceable older ones, but I do wear the newer ones. |

Lvbabydoll - What an amazing collection! How many years have you been collecting? Do you wear a single charm on a Juicy necklace or any other specific chain? Perhaps I should return my $18.00 goldtone starter bracelet to Nordstrom Rack. I'm afraid a dangling charm might chip.

Thanks!
I've been collecting since about 2005 I think? My mom used to buy me all the new charms that came out (this was when they'd only come out with maybe 5 new charms twice a year). I was never really interested then though...so if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have the majority of my older charms! The older charms I'd still love to find eventually (cheap though, which will never be possible) are the pave pineapple, ghost, slot machine and roulette wheel. I think that's about it. ![]() And actually, I just use the goldtone necklace that came with one of my Joan Rivers heart egg necklaces. The necklace is the perfect length (30") and is thick enough to hold even the heavy charms. I used to wear the full bracelet every so often but now that I have older charms on there, I really don't want to risk breaking or losing any. |
