So I'm a little worried about a charm I got on ebay, the old palm tree... It just came yesterday and the gold isn't as bright as my other charms, and the clasp is actually smaller! Where the clasps on the older charms smaller or is something wrong here?

Can someone please authenticate? (I know I should have asked BEFORE I bought it lol, but it looked OK to me!)

Bellavino ~ Welcome to our addiction! It seems like you have been collecting for a while to have so many of the older charms. I have not been collecting for long, and I really wish I hadn't missed out on some of the ones you have. I keep hoping for a rerelease.

Sorry that we skipped over your original post. I know it is hard for me to keep up with everything that is going on with this thread. Sometimes I only read the last page.

LV ~ That necklace is really cute. I hope that juicy decides to do a pretzel charm. I know I would HAVE to have it!

ShelleyM ~ I have the mint tin, it is the one that they released last year. It is so cute. I really like the charms that open and have something inside of them.

Orkira ~ I like the elephant, I just wonder why the felt that it needed to have those shackles on it??? I don't know if I will be getting it or not.

Thanks for the info about the mint tin. It's so cute! Unfortunately I dont have any JC stores nearby so I have to shop online.

Has anyone seen the whales on Ebay? Are those real? There is only a few. I must have the whale!!!

Hey Cedes, I don't know if I'll like any other drinks... That one tall glass of punch has stolen my heart. Then again, perhaps you're right since JC seems to be popping these charms out so quickly. I couldn't believe how fast that pinapple drink came out after the coconut one myself. I love the coconut one to pieces!

ShelleyM, I have the green Mint Tin and love it. It is the cutest thing. The jewel candies on the inside are literally eye candy! I'm glad I missed out on the first one, in pink, and got the green one. While I can appreciate pink, I'm not a pink girl. I hope you land the Mint Tin. There must have been a huge demand for that one.

LV, I love those charms! Oh, my goodness! The pretzel and the pizza are too cute! I'm sure they fetch a lot of compliments when you don them!

Though I don't eat Chinese food I should have jumped on that Take Out Box charm when I had the chance. It's cute and I, too, love fortune cookies. One just never knows which charm is going to be the "it" charm where one can afford to slowly purchase it and when a charm is going to linger like the Diary Charm that I want but am taking my time to get. I wish JC would come out with a pen. I need a pen to go with the Diary. I'm an avid note taker and those charms would represent me to the T!

SpoilMeRotten- Don't worry, the charm is authentic! The older clasps are a bit smaller and the color is a tad different. I think I did a comparison awhile back for someone in a PM, I don't know if I still have the pic of it though.

Sweetwon and GLL- Thanks! It's actually a really huge necklace and the charms don't come off so I only wore it once lol. It's more of a decoration in my room now.

ShelleyM- The whale hasn't been released yet so I'd wait it out for awhile, I wouldn't buy one from *bay yet.

Cedes- OMG thank you for that! I guess I'll have to stalk *bay and bonanzle now for that dress.

GLL I can't remember - did you ever find your mermaid charm? I was thinking that with the sailboat and the whale possibly coming out soon that they might be doing a whole sea-theme for summer.. in which case the mermaid, or a version of one, might be re-released.

Rebecca you never know.. they might put the dress out again, considering it seems like you're not the only one searching for it!

Cedes, I not only got the Mermaid, I purchased the entire bracelet complete with the Yacht, Life Preserver, Shell, Sea Horse and watch! Of course since I like wearing my charms on my Charm Holder necklace I immediately took the Charms off of the bracelet and was faced with the problem of how to get hooks for them... I ended up "making lemonade out of a lemons" and just bent the rings that were on the bracelet into circles, attached them to the charm and then placed the charms, suspended by rings, onto my Charm Holder. I'll have to show pics. It looks different without the hooks but for me the main thing is having those sea themed charms that are authentic! I love them!

I also wanted to add that there are indeed still good people in the world yall. Though my premium-paid-bay Mermaid was a fake, after a couple of letters to the seller she immediately paid me back ALL of my money. I really believe that she herself didn't know that it was a fake. Everything worked out to my advantage because the opportunity arose for me to get the entire bracelet, thanks to a bay seller friend, for less than I paid for the Mermaid alone! I've just got to say, God is good! Thanks for allowing me to rave yall!

I think somebody was talking about this in a previous post but I just bought the Thanksgiving turkey charm on eBay from delace, and I was going through the sellers 100% positive feed back and a LARGE amount of feed back is from meowmeowww as a buyer??

GLL, that sounds like a pretty good deal - the mermaid plus all of those other htf charms for less than the accidentally-faux-mermaid! I'd love to see pictures I have the seahorse & the mermaid but I never wear them because they're two of my favorites and would be quite impossible to replace if I ever broke/lost them. I guess the sellers who remove the clips or have extras are just like the ones who sell empty boxes or charms with no box.. guess they try and make every penny they can off every piece they have.

Watk did it list what she was buying? It would suck if she's scooping up charms to horde and re-sell at ridiculous prices. :/

Shelley there's a standing code for Shirley & Co.. I can't remember if it's thepurseforum or something else. If you search through this thread (try using keyword Shirley or code or 20%) you should be able to find it - I think it's good for 20% off.

I can't believe ShopDollyRocker hasn't had any new charms lately. I'm just going to give up checking one day.
