hmm the juicy couture customer service don't have a answer for me. They just keep telling me that there in fact was a unicorn charm (wich we already know). But they won't give details if it was ever released with a gold clasp.

I've gotten my unicorn charm today... i've contacted the seller on ebay about the gold/silver clasp issue. She tells me (and i don't know if i believe her) that the gold clasp unicorn charm is being sold by juicy couture. She said the this gold one is "in stock" right now for her to order.

I would like this to be true but i think if it was most of you would know.

Either way I think it's gorgeous! And who cares if no one can actually tell. I have a few juicy charms and IMO its real

I bought that charm a long time ago in the silver clasp and it chips really easily, if yours is indeed a fake, i bet it'll last longer than the real one, it could be worse ! thank your mom for making the effort a lot of young girls don't have the opportunity

i also had the "fake version" of this charm. I was lucky this week to be able to purchase a authentic unicorn charm.

So i can tell the differences and i will post a few pics. But i must say next to each other.... they are both beautiful and i love them both!!!

The differences are:

1.
The details of the horse a more visible on the "fake" one. The juicy charm has a sort of clear coating over the enamel. So you can see the detail but not as clearly as on the fake charm because the fake does not have this coat over the enamel.
2. The horn of the unicorn has black lines on the fake one and not on the real one.
3. The hair of the horse neatly follow his neck on the real one. The fake one has a gap.
4. The clasp of the real one is silver and on the fake one it's gold.
5. The gold bottom of the fake one goes all the way to the edge of the bottom. On the real one there is white enamel around it on the bottom.

Not arguing, but I have to ask...did you transpose the silver & gold in #4 by mistake?
Because the detail on the gold-clasp unicorn looks like JC quality, and the silver looks like a knock-off, to me.

Nope, The silver clasped one is the real juicy couture one. The gold one is the knock off.

But it's a VERY good knock off.

You can see another silver clasped on in the juicy couture reference photo's topic. juicy couture jen has posted pictures of her silver clasped unicorn and it's almost identical to mine.

But as you can see on the pictures the gold clasped looks better because it does not have this clear coating over it's enamel. So you can see the detail better. On the silver one you can also see the detail if you look at it. But the camera won't take the picture right because it won't seem to penetrate that clear coating (hope you understand what i mean).

idk if this helps but i have a very old like 2003 ballerina flats charm and it has a gold clasp soo yeah...

also if yours is a fake its incredibly more beautiful than the real one soo yeahhh
