Default Opinions on the Marla...

http://www.jimmychoo.com/pws/Product...roductID=71999

Do any of you have this bag?

If so, what do you think?

The dimensions are about the same as the Maddy so I am contemplating this in black instead of another Maddy.

Any opinions you all have are grealy appreciated.

Thanks!

This is one of the newer, zip down the front styles, that was first seen in stores last winter. The size 12x7x7 seems pretty small, I wonder if that is the zipped or unzipped size??? I do like the east/west character of the bag better than the Monna's shape. jmcadon, have you seen this one? How does this compare to your new Mia?

Hi jb...I haven't seen it IRL. I would definately try to see if before buying, tho. It looks like a hand carry type of bag. I would imagine the size is zipped. Mia looks better zipped partially, but you can see by my pics how different it looks when filled and carried, so the Marla may look a lot different as well. I do like the looks of the Marla, but whew...look at the price! I gotta love a bag to pay full price like that!

Today I saw the Marla in both the medium (midnight LP) and large (smoke LP) sizes. I am in love. No one is more surprised than I. The size large fits over my shoulder, although it is clearly not a shoulder bag...but in a pinch when the arms are full, it is nice to know you can do that. The size medium is comparable to the Maddy in volume. Medium is too small for me, but would be great for those contemplating a Maddy. I really like the Midnight Liquid Patent color...lots! Any more opinions?

I went to Nordies today and saw the Marla in the midnight, too! Yummy, I am surprised how much I liked it! I saw the Riki in ink and that little Romona baby bag in the burgundy...very cute! They also had the Monna in 3 sizes in that smoke grey LP color...very, very nice! I think if I was gonna get another patent color it would be the grey!!! A couple of Khans in white and black...just OK. I was strong...and broke!

I also saw some really hot Choo flats in purple patent. I almost caved...

OMG, jmcadon, I saw those purple LP flats too...my heart be still! Too bad we don't wear the exact same size, we could share them, lol!

The smoke grey Marla was very pretty, too. The suede color is amazing!

I was so close to getting those flats, but I went up to try on jeans and forgot about them. I wanted to get over the the Rack to see what they had. Nordies had just shipped the high end bags over. Unfortunately, they are not there yet. I know there is a Riki in the bunch. They said to check back next Tuesday

Looked at the Marla at Nordy's today. There is quite alot of difference in size between the two. From a distance I thought the medium looked really small but up close it wasn't as small as I thought. It holds quite a bit, at least as much as a Riki. The large when I held it and looked down at it felt to me as big as a gym bag so you have to like really big bags to go with the large. I wish there was a size in between. It is beautiful in all colors I've seen. I think it's going to bow into a bit of a hobo look when it's filled because of the middle being the soft suede. Can't wait till someone takes the plunge

I like that bag a lot! I'd like it even more if it were a shoulder bag though....

All zipped up does make it resemble a gym bag!

Bichon - I also feel that way...there should be an in between size. The large does look like a gym bag, lol! The Marla Gymbag, so known from now on! That smaller one is looking better...ha,ha!

Next time I'm in Nordy's I'm going to fill the smaller Marla with everything from my bag ti see what happens to the shape. I think it's going to bow quite a bit because of the soft suede (I like it unzipped) so the question is does it look good or not. If someone beats me to it let us know. I'll be going to Wilkes Bashford on Mon and sometimes they have styles I've never seen before. Wish me restraint, I'm calling it a tPF research mission.

I have no place to go close to see Choo's IRL! I would have to drive 6 hours there and back, which means there would be little time for shopping!I would have to get a room to actually make it worthwhile! But then I won't do it because DH won't come and I hate driving in the DC area! So internet is all I have!
