Cool Omg you guys...

Did someone die??

So I take to my bed for a few days lamenting the fact that my DD's have done did flown the nest, and this is what I come back to??

You shame me....even Muggles appears to have flown the coop!

Oh....but about the whole death thing....seriously, have I got a story for you! Although apparently it's rather anti-climatic as I've told it several times today and no one seems all that impressed!

Or fall in love all over again I spent the last 2 days making a photo inventory of my whole handbag collection. What a lot of work taking them all out of their dust covers and putting them all back but it's done The best part was that I fell in love with them all over again. Even the ones that I thought maybe I could do without and hadn't seen in a while amazed me. They are so beautiful that there isn't a one that I would part with. In fact I switched into a bag I hadn't used in 2 yrs and it's going out with me tomorrow So if you all have bags that you haven't seen in a while, pull them out and take a new look, you just might feel like you've been on a shopping spree and it won't cost you a cent

OK, it's very late here....close to the actual hour in fact that my story began 24 hours ago....

So. As some of you may know, or all of you....or the entire free world....I've been really sad about the whole empty nest thing. I am a major insomniac anyway, but add to this the thought of my youngest DD leaving home and I hadn't slept in days.

By last night I was so exhausted I swear I thought I would sleep through ANYTHING! Not so....I went to bed at 11:00 PM. I was still tossing and turning by midnight....but by 1:00 AM I was so tired I was just about ready to drift off. And then it happened.....

All of a sudden the light scent of perfume came into my room. At first I was scared, and then I thought, well....this is either my Mom or my sister with a message for me....and then I thought, what....do they not have clocks in Heaven??? Seriously, it's 1:15 in the morning!

So, I'm still kind of scared, because well, I'm not too keen on the whole ghost thing. But the perfume scent keeps getting stronger and stronger and stronger until I think to myself I just want whoever is in the room to tell me whatever it is they have to tell me so that I can tell them to lighten up on the heavy perfume!

By 1:45 AM the smell of perfume had become overwhelmingly strong and I thought this was something that needed further investigation or I was gong to be ill. So I get my not so happy butt out of bed and start sniffing around and there it was....

My freaking next door neighbor (or her teenage daughter) must have put her laundry with the most GOD AWFUL dryer sheet imaginable in her dryer about 1:00 AM and with the high humidity the scent carried from her dryer vent into my open bedroom window!

And there you have it! Hey! It was scary for a while! What about you? Any ghost stories to tell while we wait for the JC Spring line?? Have you ever seen, or thought that you felt the presence of a ghost? Do tell....

Stinkerbelle, It is amazing how much fragrance or stink those dryer vents can put out sometimes.

I'm not too into the whole ghost thing but I did get the bageebers scared out of me for a moment once until I figured out what was going on many many moons ago. Like 35 yrs ago I was about 15 and I was at a neighbors and there were about 6 of us having a seance with a weegee (?) board and we were trying to contact a dead person (can't remember who) and we had been at it for a while and somebody said "if you're here give us a sign" at which time a door opens and we hear footsteps We all screamed and jumped up from the floor at which time we realized it was just her mother coming home and walking in the from the garage It did manage to get our hearts racing and give us a good laugh in the end. Now that's your bedtime story sweetie. Now get some Nightie nite

Hey, don't forget, we get the cruise or resort line in Nov or Dec before the spring line!!

My electricity goes out for one day and I miss the ghost story! Gosh and I was so ready for ghosts and goblins! And things that go bump in the night!

Hey Stinkerbelle, it seems your neighbor is an insomniac, too! Who else does laundry at 1 am? If I had smelled perfume I think I would have had to turn on the lights and make sure no one was there. But then again ghosts aren't always visible!Boo!!!!

Hi everyone,
I agree w/ Muggles, who does laundry @ 1am? Not me, I'm fast asleep @ that time of the morning. I don't have a ghost story to share, but a tooth story. I talked to my mom today & she watches my 5 yr old neice, Anna Jo who started kindergarten on Mon. After school my sister, Stacy picked Anna up & took her to the dentist. She had an infected tooth that they pulled. Anna wanted to put the tooth under her pillow for the tooth fairy & she said she wanted the tooth fairy to bring her, get this, $200.00 for the tooth. My sister said NO, Anna that's how much I paid the dentist for them to remove the tooth. Isn't it funny what kids can come up with? Just thought everyone would enjoy a funny story. Colette

Stinker - love your story. I totally believe in ghosts and was disappointed to hear that is was your neighbor!

Zebra Girl - I only got a $1 from the tooth fairy and my nieces are getting either $20 or DVD's under their pillow - it blows my mind!

I'm with you Starbuxxx, I absolutely believe in ghosts! And honestly, I think I would rather have dealt with a ghost at that hour of the morning wearing just a touch of perfume rather than that freaking overpowering dryer sheet! I swear, she must have thrown the whole box in!

Bichon....you know, Ouija boards (I like your spelling better! ) are something I'm too terrified to mess with!

I mean if a ghost comes a callin', I'll deal with it....but I sure don't want to be sending out an open invitation to any of them to come on over to this side!

And I forgot about the new lines in Nov/Dec....I really hope there's something I absolutely love! While all the patents and exotics have been truly beautiful, I'd like to see something a bit more user-friendly if you will.

Bring back the biker leather JC....do it for Muggles!

I do looove your biker Ramona Muggles, I just the photo you posted. I SO wish my black Ramona was biker leather. Although it would probably have been a bit of biker leather overkill since I would then have 5 biker bags. It is definitely my favorite leather though!

Oh, and Colette, your story cracked me up!! Your niece is one smart cookie!!

You know I tried to look that word up in the dictionary every which way and finally gave up . I never would have thought to look under O

You know youth is stupid!! Obviously from my spelling I may not be a whole lot brighter in my old age either . I wonder if somewhere along the line I was bright and missed it ?

Sigh....I must confess, I do!

As far as the storylines go, the ending is usually a bit too corny, but up until that point some of the shows have been really good...a bit scary even! The first season was my favorite. Oh, and I really miss Aisha Tyler who played her best friend and partner the first few seasons but died in the plane crash storyline. Camryn Manheim just doesn't fit in IMO. And I'm really gonna miss the Professor (Jay Mohr) since he got his own show. He and JLH were so great together! Her husband is boring guy....

But I also have to admit that I watch the show for A) Jennifer Love Hewitt's wardrobe and B) I love the antique store set! I'm always checking out the background to see what's in the store!

Amen, sister! I love it for the same reasons and the 1st year was indeed the best! I wish I owned or at least could find an antique store like hers to work in! I adore it and her clothes, wow! Her hubby is quite a un-unique person! I love shows that go bump in the night! Real life that goes bump in the night gets my heart racing!
