Talking Me,JC, and Shipping Companys! Hostage Again

As some of you know some of you know My wife's first Jimmy CHoo a White Ross I bought her was held Hostage by the USPS!
Over a weekend!
In fact a few of the local Pirates here from our very own forum offered to help me Rescue it from the USPS in Hazmat Suits!

USPS Strike 1!

Ok so then lightning strikes a 2nd time!
This time it is a Jimmy CHoo Ramona in Brown and the guilty party is UPS!
This time missed the Brown truck so no big deal go down and pick it up at the distibution center or so I thought! Yeah got there at 6:00 they close at 7:00 and low and behold no truck yet!
No this day they sent my driver to outer Mongolia with Colette's JC held Hostage and well you guessed it he won't be back till 9:00!
So you think can I come back a 9:00 No Way Hoza! Once again that will be tommorrow! Made as a Hornet 0 degrees outside I'm about to leave and here he comes! 7:01 And yes I did get the CHoo that night!

UPS Strike 2!

Well let move on to #3 Jimmy CHoo it was also coming by way of USPS a Coral Tulita Bag from one of our very own and loved and you know what all went smooth!
The secert I thought ahh by Jimmy CHoo's only from my friends here!
And did I mention yet that we also here in OZ have Flying Monkeys?

USPS Ball 1!

This brings us to Colette's first Jimmy CHoo Shoe's Kats Burgandy with watersnake trim.
Got them from another dear friend here and everything is going good till they land in the USPS Hostage department and stay there for a 3 day weekend!

USPS Strike 3!

Well as you all know what good are Jimmy CHoo Shoes with out a matching HandBag!
So here we are Today with a Beautiful Jimmy CHoo Ayse Suede Burgandy with watersnake trim and where could it be well NOT HERE!
The newest of the Shippers to give me Grief is yes you guessed FEDEX!
Yes I learn something about FEDEX today!
I figured no problem I would go pick it up at the FEDEX distribution center similar to the UPS one when I got off work done it a 100 time in the past,no big deal, right?
WRONG ANSWER!
It seems that FEDEX Home delivery is not quite the same as regular FEDEX and if you miss the package it goes home with the Driver!
They then return to the distribution center the next morning for more packages!
So Colette's Jimmy CHoo is hanging out in FEDEX VAN with some guy or gal named ????
SO WE WILL GET IT TOMMORROW!
Ok evreyone can stop laughing!
Just had to vent!
BUT, mark my words, from now on I'm just going to drive a pick them up in person!

FedEx Strike 4!

Matt

Thanks all!
I just need to have a good laugh at my life again!

LOL!
I just had my second Monday of the week at work!
So I came here for some of my favorite therapy and was just thinking every time a Jimmy CHoo is involved something has to happen with the shipping!
The funny thing is that if I get any thing else ist shows up on time, or early!
I even got something from Canada and it was early!
I think these Central Plains delivery sevices, sense there is a Jimmy CHoo inside and they are just jealous!
So they come up with new rules just to mess with me!
Actually Colette and I are both laughing about what I posted!
You all would have to meet me and her to understand,But If Murphy wasn't born before me.......
You would have all been calling it...

Matt, sorry about your delivery problems.

I think you may better luck getting your flying monkeys to pick up your Choo packages.

You're right, FedEx Home Delivery is a totally different animal than regular FedEx delivery. I think Home Delivery means it goes home with the driver!

I agree with Bichon Lover ~ DHL is the worst of the lot.

It does seem like when you are waiting for high end items it takes forever! I have had OK luck with DHL lately. UPS is the one that doesn't get here until 7:00pm sometimes. They seem to have no consistancy, either. Some days it is 3:00pm so I miss them every time!

UPS and FedX just leave my packages at the door if I'm not home and last week I found out by calling my post office in my city that I could have them hold the pkg at the post office instead of putting it on a truck so I could go in to the office and pick it up at my convenience instead of missing it at the house. They did this without a tracking number, just used my home address. When I called in the morning that it should be there , the guy said it wasn't there yet but they had one more truck coming in at 9AM and he took my name and number and called me at 9:10 and told me it had arrived and did I want them to hold it. I said yes and ran down in my jammies and got it right away. I was so impressed, I thought this is like the olden days in a small town! Who knew?? So check out your post office

I just have all my bags sent to my office now. They deliver to business addresses at a much more reasonable hour, and that way I also make sure my secretary has signed for it and it's not just left as bait for someone. And of course, it helps avoid all the unnecessary questions from the DH!

I try to do this but most places want to only ship to your billing address. How do you get around that? I just placed orders at Prada and eLUXURY and given the dollar amount, they won't ship to my work so I am going to have to work from home again when the packages are due.

If anyone knows how to get around this, I would be sooo grateful!!

Oh, that's easy. I just set up my business address for one of my CCs as my billing address, and always use that card for purchases!

Uh, that would be a big fat no! I actually started using one of my JCs (yea!!) and he saw it, squinted at the nameplate and says, "That's not a real Jimmy Choo, is it???!!! Let's not even go there. I simply said I don't use fakes and left it at that. Sometimes the less that's said, the better!

I held my ground frim all the way through the front door and to the kitchen!
Ok, so I caved in!
I must be a push over!

Any how She's head to Bible Study so Pic will have to come later tonight!
Yes I will get her to model the CHoo Shoe's as well!
