Maddy in black?

Was a shiny leather and suede Maddy in black made?

I just got my cognac in the liquid patent and suede and I know that same finish exists in black but I am unsure I want another liquid patent.

The Maddy is probably the perfect sized bag for me; the Mahala is just too large; I am about 4'10" so anything bigger than the Maddy is just enormous on my arm.

I feel like if I had a black one I would be content...for awhile.

Hello Michele,

the calf black maddy has been made with both brushed gold and gunmetal hardware. I was lucky enough to get a maddy with gunmetal hardware in the jc.com sale a few days ago. I just received it and will post pics soon. Like you, I am short and the maddy is absolutely perfect. You could try emailing jc to see if they have any left. Good luck!

I have a calf Malena with the gunmetal hardware...the combo of black and gunmetal looks really cool.

Really? I am insanely jealous. I would love to own that bag. Please post pics when you get it so I can drool all over it.

here is my trio of maddys - electric blue and my 2 new ones -platinum and black. Yes, I was very lucky to score the black at 50% off. In fact all my 3 have been 50% off!!! I love the maddy so much. Really wanted a red one but missed out on the last poppy red in London in the sale 2 weeks ago

But I am content with my 3 beautiful maddys for now

Do you by chance know the style/product number of the black maddy?

The rep from my local JC boutique says she has found one and having it transferred to her store but I fear it is not the same one and will not be on sale.

Just called the store to see if the black Maddy being transferred had brass or gunmetal hardware; they said they did not have any in the gunmetal so it would be brass.

So that means it is not on sale.

Oh the decisions...I want the bag but not sure I want to pay full price. :-|

Guess I will see what I think when I view the bag in person tomorrow.

I am a Maddy girl, too! I have 2, the turquoise and a bronze metallic. I got the bronze on sale last year, but paid full price for the turquoise... I just love the size.

I wish the handles were just a little longer, tho!

So I went to look at the Maddy last night; it was the black one with the brass hardware and I just didn't like it as much as the black with the gunmetal hardware.

However, they did have a Mina that was black with gunmetal so I bought that instead. The Mina is a different shape than the Maddy but still not a very big bag so I think the size is good for me. While it is not the Maddy I am still very pleased.
