Ok, nevermind the nylon Mandah, I'm thinking about getting the Mandah in the black shiny leather. I lusted after lionlaw's navy Mandah in the spring but I never did buy one. And now I "need" a new black bag, lol! (Its also coming in black patent, but I think I prefer the black shiny leather... shown here from jimmychoo.com)

cosmopolitan I approve! The black looks lovely
Lionlaw would be a great job, we could get paid in Choos!!!
Do not know how the family would eat though. But we'd look good.

Great black bag!!! I do love the look of JC's zippered bags. Now all the designers are coming out with big zippers on their bags...

I think I only like the Mandah unzipped. But do you think its weird how the zipper pull dangles down? Apparently there's no place for it to go. Trying to decide if it bugs me too much... Check out these pics of Hilary Duff from celeb section

Cosmopolitan, the zipper pull moves and you can leave it positioned anywhere you like along the zipper track..top, middle, dangling wherever. I prefer at the top, which is where it happens to be in your first pic of the black leather Mandah.

^So it'll stay put up top if you want it to? Thanks for the info! Oh, and is it easy to carry on the shoulder? I'm considering the medium size.

I saw this bag in person today and it was really sharp and felt amazing. The leather would be great in a large bag too but I don't see any anywhere.

Sorry, can't seem to back the pic up without losing it.

Yes, it stays put. I have a medium and carry on my shoulder. If I'm carrying a heavy load for a long time, I don't find on the shoulder as comfortable with bare shoulders, as I do with more layers for fall and winter. I find this is the case with many of my bags with chains, braids, corded, wrapped and any interesting handle treatments - they don't conform to your shoulder area to distribute the weight as well as flat, smooth, flexible straps. I have bony shoulders, so maybe it's just me. You'll love this bag.

^Thanks again découverte, all that was very helpful. I need to finally go and try on a Mandah.

There is a black patent version for fall too, but I'm not sure I want another patent bag...

There's a Navy one in Medium apparently at Pam Jenkins in Edinburgh (UK) http://www.pamjenkins.co.uk/ at £519 (US$848 approx) in her sale. Noted that her sale prices are higher than JC sale prices but this one isn't in the JC online sale at the minute. Have never ordered from her before and I don't know if she does international shipping either.
