This stuff looks cheap and lacking in actual design. (Paging Tim Gunn - this stuff needs serious editing). My goodness, what will the H&M collection look like if this is the higher-end stuff? And who is going to spend so much money on a flame bag? Or a bedazzled eagle? I feel bad for the buyers at the department stores - do they have to buy a minimum number of things from a line? I can see stores having trouble unloading these.

Sadly, I don't even like the shoes they have on the website so far. The good news is my wallet will take a much needed break in the fall.

Just think if you get caught in a snow storm, your bag could keep you warm....

One thing I will say is I do like some of the pre fall bags and shoes a lot!

I was wondering where this thread went! I didn't think to look in the stickies.

As is obvious from my lame thread below, I don't find anything attractive in fall/winter 09.

I had to go back and have a second look...there are a couple of pre-fall bags I would definately like. The Mandah in black and white cheatah print is super hot. I also like the Beale in that black glittery leather.
As for the new fall/winter line...I agree to pass! I think in times like these when most are watching what they spend, they should have gone back to what really worked like maybe some soft leather Mahala/Maddys in different colors. I hope it is true that they are watching us here on tpf so they hopefully will do better with cruise 2009!

I am very disappointed in the new designs. Nothing is making me say WOW anymore. It use to be that I would drool and want almost every bag Choo came out with (Mahala, Riki, Maddy, Rana, Malena, just to name a few) but now I just cringe at the fall line. And the H&M collaboration?? Do they think we'll still stay loyal? What happened to the luxury brand and lovely designs?

I am not going to write off Jimmy Choo. I do think they will bounce back, and every designer more or less has had a not so great collection! As far as H&M goes, so what! They are not in my town and most people around here wouldn't know Jimmy Choo from Jimmy Foo!

jmcadon - I like the Beale too! I still lament the fact that I didn't pounce on the python version in Spring 2008.

Ok, you know times are bad when JC resorts to NYLON. The new mandah in nylon:

And if that wasnt bad enough- this looks like a cheap camping tent was used to make it:

And just when you think they couldnt throw any more crazy things together on a bag-- we have fringe, tiger print, stingray like detailing, with studs and holes.
