Default Care Of Off White Drummed Leather-Any Suggestions?
I bought my first Jimmy Choo this past weekend at an Off-Fifth Saks sale - the Rania Hobo in off-white drummed leather. Took it home and began to use it immediately. Within 3 hours it had a blue appearance on both sides - the color of my blue jeans! I took it back to Saks and they said this can happen with some washes, but a mixture of dishwashing liquid and water will take it out. In fact, it did. I still have the option of returning the bag, but don't want to because I LOVE it. But, is this truly a common thing? Is this leather so fragile that it picks up just about anything? It seems to me soap and water will eventually dry it out. Any tips ladies? I love this bag, but don't want a museum piece. Thanks.

The white/creme drummed leather will stain pretty easily. Color transfer from blue jeans is the biggest problem. However there is one additional problem with this leather, it yellows quickly. Now, if you don't mind your bag turning yellowish, then that could be ok. But, the yellowing occurs unevenly. These bags are often on eBay, and you can see the issues. Good luck.
