the mahala definitely swings easily over the shoulder, even if you wear a jacket or coat. i love all three of mine and they hold up quite well, especially the liquid patent style. i especially appreciate how many pockets it has inside and the keyholder attached to the inside zipper. this style is one of my favorites from any designer, not just jimmy choo.

Well - this depends on your size. I am zaftig and can easily wear it over the shoulder, but it is snug with a coat.

I've got another question to add to this. How heavy is it?

It's on the heavier side but not so heavy it is overwhelming. I packed mine up for work one night with 2 hardback books and a bottle of Pop and it was a bit heavy but did fine.

I love that word....Zaftig! The Mahala has a nice strap drop length but because of the width of the bag and if you have it fully loaded, it might make your arm look odd. If you carry a minimal of stuff it hangs nicely. Definitely a shoulder bag but if you are a big girl it won't be as easy as to "swing" it up there, especially with a coat on.

I can wear it easy over my shoulder and with a coat no problem.
I do find them heavier than my Chanels so I don't often use them.
