Again- I did not have any input and am just posting for them since they do not want to invade our forum by reading or posting here.
---- Here are new updates straight from Maria: On another note, as mentioned in the letter, as of mid-next week, we will have the order form on the website which will make ordering much easier! It will also limit some of the changes that can be made to handbags. It will also take into effect the increase of South American ostrich and salmon leather (although we are working on the salmon leather offer). Until then we can receive orders with other changes which we will review on a case by case basis (ie we may not be able to offer everything). Changes: Add a zipper Change the length of your strap Add a detachable strap Change to rolled handle (Emilia) Add or remove studs (styles like Emilia, Sofia and Gabrielle) Handbags can still be chosen in dual leathers as well. If there are changes to designs where we receive several requests by customers who wish to order this and we also feel this should be a permanent change, it can considered separately. Also, as of last week the new Returns policy has been updated on our website, in the Customer Care section. Finally other queries we have received are in terms of sales and special discounts. That is, customers prefer to wait until the “next big sale” based on past “surprise sales” Upcoming: Sale in July (only bags in stock) 20% discount for one week when new designs are introduced If we have a limited edition leather in stock that will no longer be available (so not the classic leathers like cognac), these will be offered at a special price for handbags ordered in those leathers! |

thanks for posting, Lionlaw!
Also, I recommended to Ignacio that they discontinue the use of the salmon leather based on my experience with it....if those of you who also ordered this have input or want to weigh in with Ignes otherwise, please do so. Ignacio said he was going to discuss this with Maria. |

Thanks for posting this, lionlaw!
That list of modifications still sounds okay... It's not too drastic, and at least they still seem open to modifications if there's a demand for them. The new returns policy seems fair enough to them as well, although I do hope they remain as understanding when problems that we perceive as manufacturing faults don't necessarily fall into their definition of manufacturing faults! (lionlaw's yellow ostrich Mini O, for instance, and that wonky piping on my Gabrielle, too...) I'm glad to see that they're not changing the shipping/customs policies, at least! |

Thanks LL!
I'll have to mosey on over and read the return policy one of these days. As for modifications, I wonder if, for example, flat vs. braided flat handle (i.e. for the Josie) or even the extended drawstring (a la Sofia) will no longer be available. Is that a complete list of mods that we will be able to still do LL after the new changes go into effect? |

I'd guess that the extended drawstring on the sofia and the single strap for the sofia would be acceptable since it seems those get requested often. I've seen several of both mods done on midi sofia's just since I've been visiting here. I think they're finding a nice balance between doing what they need to do to insure higher quality and still keeping the customer happy even if there aren't 5,000,000 modifications on the list now! LOL!

LL and others..IDK if it's appropriate to post this here..but after reading this and another post I have to say one thing. It's so refreshing to see designers who do not invade forums. Now I'm totally on board here, even if I don't buy my first bespoke Ignes for a bit. This is so amazing.

I think it will help everything be uniform. I think the new return policy is good as well- the old one was beyond generous and I can see them getting stuck w/ bags in really funky combinations b/c customers knew they could go hog wild and then return if they didn't like it. I am sure someone out there made some really wacked out bags that never even made the sale page.
