Sorry I am weighing in late - I wasn't positive mine was the same purple leather. If it is the same, it really is the perfect shade of purple if you ask me. Nice thick leather that has worn beautifully so far. It is not a smooshy puddly leather - some structure - but it has softened a bit with wear. It is not a rigid leather. It will conform to your body somewhat when you wear it - but it will keep the shape of the bag.

Congrats! You are going to LOVE this color!

Seems like an amazing purple shade. I don't think I have anything quite like it. Thanks for the older pics in the sunlight GP (from your reveal), those really helped!

If you want to wait and save up for when you are not on a ban, you could always get swatches and custom order the perfect bag. But, this is a great way to try out the style in this size for a great price!! The purple is really pretty, I believe I have it on a midi sofia combined with another leather. It is a gorgeous dark purple. I just haven't used it yet so can't add to GP's comments about the leather structure.

I think you will not regret getting it. But if you are on the fence, well, there are other great opportunities to try the mini Sofia!

Does your purple compare to Prada or BE purple? Shades, not leathers. As you know, I seek the perfect purple for Cecilia.

well, we have to document our findings! I don't know Prada purple, and it's best that I don't....

BE has dark purple and a regular purple. I have a BE purple that is kinda dark but this is darker than my BE purple. Do you want a dark purple Cecilia?

This would be lovely for a Cecilia! Just enough structure I would think.

For me personally, it is the perfect purple - not too pink, not too indigo/blue. Just a deep perfect purple.

Did you get the new Nordies catalog? Could you snap a pic of Mini O with one of the pages with a purple bag? Then I could really tell.

Okay girls, here are my mini O pics with my Nordies catalog for color reference:

I think it shows how this leather is a true purple. Not as pinky-purple as the dots on the front of the catalog or that wrap, not as indigo-purple as the MK bag, somewhere between the dark blue of the cardigan and the fuchsia blouse on the last page I took a photo of. Somehow the color looks ever so slightly pinker & a tiny bit washed out on my patio, as you can tell if you compare your Nordies catalog to my pics.

The last pics indoors with flash - the flash makes it look a couple shades lighter, but you can see it is a true purple - no real pink or blue casts to it. Also you can see the texture of the leather a bit and how it is wearing - it is relaxing and smooshing a bit in the sides.
