My non-Ignes contribution for the next little while. The aftermath of the perk testing and permitting process. The big dig is tomorrow.

The actual dig...not a good pic since you can't see all the trenches. The workers were fabulous and danced around all my gardens...right to the end of one garden without a stone out of place. They were amazing with the huge equipment. Very talented.

It is a great yard!
Last bag for a year (if I can do it, I think I can!)- the Sak Silverlake Satchel in black from Ebags for $100. This is actually a really, really nice bag. I am really impressed. The Joe's Jeans bags from Ideeli came today too, but the blue one is messed up and I have to try to get them to take a return (it was going to be a Christmas gift for an aunt). My mom's has a spot or two on hers that are minor, but I am letting her decide w/ the photos first. ![]()

NC - your yard is so green! I am envious! Even with the septic issue. Our yard is little TJ right now. We were supposed to get working on it weeks ago but I was sick with bronchitis and that brought on asthma so we couldn't get started! How large is your property? It looks huge!!
Eli - that bag is cool! Enjoy it! Have you decided what to do with the BE bag? That is a tough call - I can understand your feelings about the whole mess! |

Sandy, we have a long skinny lot that is close to an acre. We have maybe 10 varieties when they open, but they don't always open. Bunches of perennials to open yet. I've not had the greatest luck with them. Got one called Immortality for the baby garden, and it didn't grow at all. Nice...

Thanks! I like it a lot- I know it is a Botkier look alike, but it is a great bag.
Sandy, I don't know what to do. Care to give advice in the chat thread? |

^ To the Sasha Duffle. They are both convertible, have the front latch things and are similar in shape. They both have other details too, but it is very similar. Some Botkier fans got upset when this bag came out, but I don't mind. I prefer the braided handles and some of the other details on this one- extra stitching in a pattern for interest on the mail flap, etc.. It does not look so utilitarian.
For $100 for a leather bag to wear 2 ways, I can't complain. It's perfect for work and interviews. |

Really? Hmmm...don't know Botkier well.
The irises are about 10...??? Dh and I went to an iris farm and got a bunch more than we had. One is called Batik, one is called Immortality (died....hehe), Radiant Angel, and ummmm...sheesh, wish I could remember. We have SOOOO many flowers. I have iris, lobelia, phlox, salvia, foxglove, peony, bleeding heart, primrose in a couple varieties, bearded huskers, bunches of daiseys and hostas and yikes...more than I even know the name of. Perennial exchanges and purchasing and tons of flowers. Herb garden too, and this year I added some multicolored heirloom tomato plants to the herbs. My iris pics wouldn't load :( Blue, purple and white, bluish, reddish purple, yellow, white, and the pink never come up. |
