Hi ladies
I'm in the UK. Where do Ignes bags ship from, the US? I'm just trying to work out if I will be whacked with high customs charges? |

They ship from Uruguay. In the US they then go to a warehouse, then are shipped out from there. I'm not sure if there is a warehouse stop for UK orders. The good news in Ignes pre-pays customs...

Hi SillyKitty
Thanks for the quick response. The pre-paid customs thing is good news! I feel an Emilia in Cognac coming my way. I just need to pay for some other bags first! |

An Emilia in cognac will be gorgeous! Cognac is so lovely and slouchy! Welcome to Ignes!! Congratulations on your new Sunflower Emilia too!! One great thing about Ignes is the option to use suede for the lining which is very luxurious! I myself use clothing linings only because I have fallen in love with the colors but have had suede in some of my previous Ignes bags and the suede is heavenly especially if you're a petter! LOL! Plus Maria is so sweet and wonderful to work with!

Yes, I really like the suede lining option. If I become addicted to Ignes bags, it will all be SillyKitty's fault (well, I have to blame someone!). When Mz Lizardo commented in the BE forum that SillyKitty was a valued member of this forum, I thought I'd wander over and check it out...
So far I like the Emilia and the mini version but I think the Josephine looks interesting too. |

Mini Emilia is one of my favs as is the Virginia and Mini Chiara. Mini Ormala is popular too! There's a gorgeous Josephine on Bonanzle with yellow lining right now! See, good did come out of that thread over there! LOL! Here you are, drawn into the wonderful world of Ignes!
Oh and I'm not sure if you knew this but the Emilia was designed by one of our own TPF gals during the last handbag design contest! I believe it was Newbaglover but someone may need to correct me because I'm not 100% sure! I had just started getting interested in Ignes when she won the contest! |

LOL... a silver lining to the BE fiasco!
It's great that you get to try an Ignes out from Bonanzle. Sunflower is tinted, like Cognac, so you'll be familiar w the leather. I believe that Emilia is actually one of the first Emilia's and belongs to the designer, so it's like royalty...sorta! My Mini Ormala used to be my favorite design, but I think I've come to prefer my Mini Emilia. I love, love, love the suede lining. I would have probably never splurged for suede and gone through life blissfully ignorant, until I bought a preloved Chiara w suede on Bonanzle, now I can't go back! Oh...and since you're planning this as a future purchase, just an fyi, after Xmas, Ignes won't be taking bespoke orders till Mid-March. |

Mid-March?
LOL. Actually that is a good thing as I have 3 BEs that I bought on the lcouture leather sale that I asked to be produced and delivered between Jan and March. This Emilia off Bonanzle will be my last bag this year, I need to keep some cash for Christmas presents!

Good to know! Lucky for me the bag I bought is coming from a TPFer in Spain so not long to wait.
