Default Seeking Advice!
Hi, ladies! Can you give me some advice and opinions? I am going to order a celery bag since custom orders will be on hold until mid-March and I don't want to wait that long for a celery bag! I want a black bag too but that one can wait until March. I love my Mini Chiara in tinted wine but also love the Mini Emilia style. I have a Mini E in tinted chocolate on order currently. So, should I:

1) Order a celery Mini Chiara now and a black something else later? Like a Mini Ormala or Virginia?

2) Order a celery Mini Emilia now and a black Mini Chiara later? I'm thinking I would do black crinkled patent drawstrings for interest.

I've considered a Carla too or Mini Carla if it exists. Thoughts? I truly love the Mini Emilia, Virginia and Mini Chiara styles the most! I guess it boils down to what style best suits the celery leather out of the styles I like?

I like option 2. I prefer the mini E over the mini C, though. Which do you prefer? That is the key.

I don't think a mini Carla was made, but I could be wrong. Isn't the celery leather a soft leather that slouches? I think it would work for either bag, but comes down to which bag you prefer.

I am super curious about the no orders after Xmas till mid-March. TL, have you heard from Maria why?

Hmmm... Mini C or Mini E.... hard choice. I have both and like both. I think the Celery will suit either style.

I vote for the Mini E for a couple of reasons.
  • I like the style slightly better. The double snaps are secure and easy to get in and out of. I like the suede lining peeks out a little. When I get my Celery bag, I want red suede lining, so it'll look like a pimento stuffed olive...lol. The braided strap is more comfortable for me than the Mini C. The Mini C strap is too tight for me as it comes standard. The outside pocket of the Mini E is handy.
  • In the past, I think Ignes hasn't done a great job matching the paint on the Celery. I would also worry about zipper match. I do think Ignes has gotten more careful about paint match recently. The Mini E has little paint on it, and the front zipper can be hidden.

  • If you're interested in doing two tone, I think the braid of the Mini E is a natural way to include another leather. My Mini C experiment, I wasn't fond of! I think the new Green 188 compliments the Celery.

Thanks, Elizat and SK! I'm leaning toward the mini E especially now that SK mentioned the paint matching issue. I have no idea why I'm obsessing over celery! I normally don't like green bags but this color is really getting to me! But I think a mini E will be more fun in this color and playful. So, yellow or beige cloth lining? Anyone have a swatch of celery and the yellow cloth lining on hand to see if they go well together?

I'm a mess! I am an addicted to handbags mess! LOL!

I think the mini E will also be a great choise! I also like the celery a lot, but with my olive skin tone I just will look sick wearing it..lol

But to be honest I would chose the beige lining..but that's me!

I have yellow fabric, but only the beige lining I have is suede. I'm not sure how close the beige's are, but I took a pic anyway. I also took pics of other linings I liked w the Celery.

Yellow Fabric

Beige Suede

Turquoise Fabric

Purple Fabric

I feel like the Mini Emilia would be better in celery. Go for that, I say!

Also, the beige fabric lining is lighter than the beige suede, a bit more like a cream/natural lining. It'll be neutral enough, but I say go with a contrasting lining. Celery and turquoise looks like it could be an interesting combo!

So I'm bored and decided to play with the Emilia image to see what celery might look like in this bag. What do you think? LOL!

Buy it woman! Then post lots of pics of it here. I'm in love with this style. I thought all my love belonged to Belen Echandia but now I'm not so sure...
