Irainei - I'll post up modling and what it holds pics soon, I have a lot of vacation pics to go through.
NBL - The 109 is a really great leather. It's pillow-y, soft and shiny. Most amazingly it's indestructible! On vacation it had a bad run in w a unmarked freshly painted yellow pole. I scrubbed the h*ll out of it w Purell, and it all came out and not a sign of it on the 109 leather! Duranie - She got a little wet in NYC. Overall we had really good weather. The days it rained it didn't do anything more than drizzle. Untreated but she has no water marks! That swatch is Earth Red. Really soft and distressed. I'll be posting up pics of all my swatches this week. E - Thanks, she was PERFECT for traveling! I hate being weighed down w a shoulder bag. And she switched to a wristlet at night! |

Ok...additional pics as promised....
Here is what she will hold... ![]() ![]() This was before I went on vacation and it's a bit conservative. I crammed quite a bit more in it during vacation, including a pancho and umbrella. Real life Luisa on vacation shots. Can you pick out me and the Luisa?? ![]() ![]() ![]() The balance and gaping issues have been completely resolved. But there is some space at each end of the zipper. It doesn't close completely. The lining does show a bit, particularly since mine is bright purple. It doesn't bother me, but it might some. |

As I mentioned above, my Luisa had a run in w an unmarked freshly painted yellow pole while on vacation. I scrubbed it out w Purell as best I could that same day. The black 109 leather is amazingly industructable! All the paint came out and it left no mark what so ever. Amazing considering Purell and rough hotel wash clothes are generally recomended for leather treatment! The black ostrich didn't fare as well. Black lifted and at the time I thought I was not able to get all the yellow out. When I returned home I treated the bag w Wilson's TLC Leather Lotion. Again some black lifted out of the ostrich. Upon closer inspection, I think the yellow showing on the ostrich isn't the paint, but the undertones of the leather where the black has been lifted out.
Here are some pics... This is where I rubbed the yellow paint out ![]() ![]() This is what makes me think the yellow showing is the leather's undertone, not leftover paint. This is an area that received HEAVY use on vacation. ![]() I'm sending this back to Ignes for repairs. Maria gave me no guarantees, but they are going to do their best. I don't mind the corner wear, I actually think it gives the leather some character, but the rubbed spot...not so much! |

SK, I'm SO sorry about your beautiful Luisa!
What's the scoop on the repair? Are they going to attempt a touchup dye? |

Thanks Cathy. One of the nice things is the Luisa has no "front", so for the rest of the trip I just had the damaged side towards me. Yep, they are going to try to source some appropriate dye for it there and touch it up, or re-dye. It will probably take some time though, as I'll need to ship it to someone to hand carry it down there due to customs fees.
