My opinion is: go for the gold! We still don't know how long we'll need to wait for gunmetal, and you can use gunmetal in one of your later bags.

personally i would wait for the gunmetal. the gold is too bright for me.

Personally I prefer the gold but I think you could go either way and it will look beautiful because gunmetal shouldn't be overly bright. Since Ignes uses an antiqued gold rather than a bright gold I think it would add a nice warm touch to the bag without being too flashy.

your idea for a Gabrielle in purple South American Ostrich/Rhea ~ it will be FANTASTIC!!! The new purple (looks like eggplant to me) bottom and side pockets will give it some structure, and these two colors together are beautiful!!! newbaglover, you have a great eye for color and design!!!

I adore the purple ostrich it is divine. I think it is a fabulous choice on the Gabrielle. I hope that Ignacio can make one for you. It will be sooo pretty with the purple and I think that the gold hardware will look great.

Love the new purple! Love the ostrich purple! Don't love them together for Ormala. I think the purple ostrich Gabby would be the most beautiful of the ones you are considering.

I have just place the order! is the gaby, in ostrich purple with the bottom, side pockets side straps for decorating and handles in the new purple that is darker ( Ignacio told me it would be better to have the handles in this darker purple, beacuse is a rougher leather, I think). I am going with gold hardware ( I dont have enough patience to wait for the gunmetal). the only thing I am not sure is the suede lining, should I go for the navy suede or lilac? I like brigh colours, but i love the lining of royawink charcoal miniormala ( this is the navy, no?), the lilac is maybe too girlie for me, but is not dark, so it would be easier to find the things inside. I am dying to use the new electric blue with silver and raspberry with gold, but I think they are not the best options for this bag. and I like gold with golden spash, but i have it in a a bag and having so many gorgeous suede linings dont want to repeat.

so girls, I ask you opinions again: lilac suede or navy suede?

AH congrats I can not wait to see this bag! IS there a swatch of the lilac suede somewhere i like the idea of keeping it all in the purple family but Navy would look so rich and gorgeous.

Yes, newbaglover, it is the navy suede in my Mini Ormala! It's more of a true dark blue, but it looks navy indoors sometimes. It would be wonderful with your bag. So rich!

royalwink: I love the colour of your suede lining, is the colour I have asked to ignacio to try to find for the HOBO leather, but in the meantime, I can have it is the suede lining.
