Change to 1st-Time Buyer Incentive

First-time buyer incentive: After next Friday [October 31, 2008], the first-time buyer incentive will not have free delivery; delivery will cost $12. So it will be 15% off or complimentary suede (not including special-edition suedes like dots, suedes with metallics and such).

Returning customer bonus: 15% off or complimentary suede on entire order. Special-edition suedes included. Free delivery. Plus, for orders until Friday November 21, 2008, a braided keyring or bag charm for each bag ordered.

The above will probably change again in a few months (i.e. January).

Other news:

- Going forward sample requests should reach customers faster, as we’ve started working with a US warehouse company that will receive products (including the samples) weekly from us and send them out to customers.
- Bags will be sent to the warehouse and the warehouse will send on to customers. Deliveries would take an additional 2 business days to arrive to customers. However doing deliveries this way there are savings that we can take advantage of:
o more efficient deliveries to the US
o significantly less time-consuming paperwork to take care of, etc.
o less time packing and more time working on handbags

Plus customers don’t have to fill out the FEDEX forms. Taking advantage of all of the above we can create promotions that customers might appreciate like the returning customer bonus. Orders of 3 bags or more will still be sent directly to customers.
- The newsletter about the bag contest will go out next week.
- In the next few days we’ll post on our website a video we created last year showing how one of our bags (the Veronica) is made, step by step, all handmade.

I mentioned to Ignacio that some here had thought the $50 a bit high for the chain handles. Here is his response:

- For any orders placed from today until next Wednesday (11/26), the chain modification will be free; we’ll do the “chain handles promotion”!

- After that, the chain modification will cost $35 until at least the end of the year

To recap, currently the modifications available cost:
- $25 for change of strap length
- $30 for rolled handles
- $35 for adding detachable strap
- $35 for doing the chain handles (yet the chain handles will be free until next Wednesday)

Note that Purse Forum customers who have purchased previously can take advantage of the returning customer bonus, which is 15% off or complimentary suede; the 15% off applies to modifications as well.

^ Oh, my. A tinted leather in a midi Sofia w/ out the reinforced sides like adoptastray ordered w/ chain handles would be amazing! I was going to wait to order, but I think I might just pick out leathers and get a midi Sofia w/ the chains while he's doing the promo. I can order the mini Ormala after the holidays and use the 15% again!
